I laughed at this bit of Pickles' proposals:-
"To publish new open data on parking to allow the public to ‘go compare’"
Well, that sounds just like Knecht's experience in Oxford. "Take it or leave it buddy".
I only have to be spoken to in that sort of manner once, and said institution receives no future business from me whatsoever, along with my quite clear opinion. The whole vehicle charging/parking/taxing thing is a disgrace. I paid more into the Council's coffers the year before last for parking etc than I paid in car tax. So, after making my decision, I have rationalised my behaviour and not given them one penny last year. If you don't make me welcome, I don't come back... and I live in the city. I now avoid spending in their shops, barring the unavoidable recent Christmas thing, and even then most of my money went to Otter Nurseries with their free parking. And the idea that someone like me would spend one penny at some god forsaken HHP complex in our public park is frankly laughable. There are ways to boycott nearly all of their policies if you disagree with them.
It's a bit like the present regime up at Home Park. If you insult me, you don't get my business, it's quite a simple rule to follow. It has been away games only for me over the last couple of years, and will remain so for the foreseeable future until this present bunch slip their coil It's their loss, and my gain.
