More golds today - horses, ladies boxing (and one for the paddys) and some weird ladies kicking Marshall arts.

Taekwondo is a great sport and good for fitness. I did it for a while until I buggered my knee!
And we got our 25th gold in the sport.

Should never be an Olympic sport. Adults on kids bikes. It shouldn't be allowed.

Ha!

Barry still around is he? One of the all time greats in my opinion!

Is this a 'guest appearance' commentating, or does he have a regular gig?

If Horse Dancing is a sport, then pretty much anything goes, surely?

It's my view that if you're doing something which involves being judged and marked out of 10, that's not a sport.

I agree up to a point but that would rule out a goodly number of events such as diving, boxing etc.

Brazil and Mehico in the football final today Cobi.

Gold today for Ed Mceever from Bradford on Avon yay. I have a feeling he is something to do with the rowing club there and had a go at me a few years back for jumping into the river from a bridge, all the cool dudes do it in the summer, and then swimming over to the rowing club to get out of the water, rather than the opposite bank which is where the public are allowed Sleep

Some old guy came out first and start shouting at the group of us as though we were poachers on his estate or something, and when he go told where to shove his oar, he went into the clubhouse and this guy who looked like Hercules on steroids came out and "asked" us to vacate the area straight away Razz

Bleddy stuck up lot they can be in Bradford. Makes it much harder having to swim the long way back.

Still it means a gold painted post-box in Bradford, probably outside the main Post Ofice they keep closing without notice and is rumoured to be next for the chop. Can afford gold paint out of the massive hike in stamp prices I expect, which still doesn't guarantee your post any time before tea-time.

Then there's the "lady" at the Post Office down the road inside the Co-op! She's always outside having a fag when I go in and seems to take breaks whenever she feels like it, and often doesn't open up at all due to "Unforseen Circumstances" or "Staff Illness", which means a long walk into town and if it's raining, the pavement outside the main Post Office is always slippery, and I like wearing these sort of beach shoes called Dudes which have no grip at all. I also slip outside the main Post Office in Trowbridge, and Argos as well, as they have the smoothest pavements in the world. I'm sure someone, probably me, will break their neck there if it's icy one morning.

When you have to go to the main Post Office, it also means walking past Zaks, a bar which has the cast of The Jeremy Kyle Show outside smoking and drinking every morning no matter what time it is. It's one of those places where you can get "anything" apparently. That ranges from a Dyson vacuum to cheap tobacco to your teeth knocked out for looking at someones bird. Someone said that to me once and I honestly hadn't been and when I saw her I laughed at him and said did he honestly think I would look at that thing?

My mate cooled things down and we ended up being invited back to a house party where everything did go, if you liked 50 yr old women with no teeth and tattoos. After a session of rum and spliffs I started giggling to myself again and when someone asked what I was laughing about I said I couldn't believe that big ugly guy thought I was eyeing up his pig of a girlfriend. My mate rescued the situation again and got us out before all hell broke loose. Even though we had to go back inside because we couldn't work the chain on the door, which infuriated the big ugly guy again.

So well done Ed Mceever cheers cheers cheers

Incredible from Mo Farah. Just would not let anyone get past him.

Tom Daly has a mare first dive and is allowed to take it again because of camera flashes putting him off, and nails the dive second time around.
