I thought the British team looked rather spiffing in the opening ceremony!
And let's not forget... Half of it is how you look!
Let the games begin...

I always support the unlikely equator dwellers in these games. Cmon Togo, etc. We were ahead if Russia earlier with our solitary bronze, Claire Balding was going mental, bless 'er.

I think the ladies competition has. Hows Jamaca's bobsleigh doing? Cool Runnings again?

I think the Olympic Men's downhill is one of the great events in all of sports.

What?
A guy skis down a hill right?
And what is up with the ski jumping?
They roll down the hill with their skis in tracks?
It's like the Eurovision chez nous, we have a good laugh trying to pick the winners but the events themselves are just pants, WTF is the luge all about?

Curling has got to be the most ridiculous "sport" ever to feature in the Olympics.

The new extreme sports are televisually amazing. The cross boarding/skiing was a great watch. The moguls final is on now and it's just nuts.

Angry. Do you often masturbate to curling then? I'm fairly broad minded but that's proper weird mate.
I like the skiing - they're utterly mad. If you've fallen over on a piste at 15-20 mph, you'll know how much it hurts. Imagine adding 50-60mph to that and you're wearing lycra.

What are you on about? Nothing you've posted has anything to do with the Winter Olympics - other than figure skating being 'gay' and that you don't find some curling person sexually attractive.
I remember reading a Hunter S Thompson article about Jean Claude Killy (a 70s skiier) - Killy was like a super-hero. I've always watched the downhill and super G in awe. It's like formula 1 without the safety of the car - those men and women are clearly amazing and although skiing isn't that popular in the UK, I bet most people used to watch ski Sunday on the telly.

Ah but downhill skiing is just going downhill really fast. Just like weighlifting is picking up things that are really heavy. And boxing is just hitting each other really hard until one of you falls over. And synchronised swimming is just holding your breath and smiling with a nose-clip on. (OK I'll concede the last one).
I used to watch wrestling - I mean proper wrestling with the likes of Jackie Pallo, Mick McManus & Jimmy Saville (whatever happened to him) not the modern stage-managed rubbish - simply for the homo-erotic rush.

still not as gay as figure skating even if they threw in mud to do wrestling in.

Yer actual events per se aren't too bad it's all the gushing by Claire Balding (who lets face it is probably more turned on by the curlers captain than most of us) and the filling and padding. The newest sports are the best by a mile, apart from downhill Tis you wanker.
