Your words I assume.....If you want gifts Cameron is your man....a new gift every day to tempt you to vote for Thatcher MK2.

What's wrong with a "Christian" country being interested in the religion of the UK before others......we will be a minority religion soon if the flood of middle east/asian religions continues then it will be too late to think of the status-quo.

These days you simply cannot voice concerns like this without someone implying you're a card-carrying racist, Zyph.

Political correctness has taken the world over.....hasn't it ?

At least Nigel Farage says what most others dare only think and that's a breath of fresh air in these times......the answer he gets is....your a racist Farage.....maybe the racist is the person that calls him racist....because they haven't a constructive argument to what is staring them in the face, that things have gone too far in this country and some commonsense is required.

I admit there are those that have jumped on UKIP's bandwagon and they need weeding out.....they give those that can't cope with Farage and his direct style ammunition.....but at the end of the day Farage speaks a lot of common sense....and that is causing panic amongst the Westminister establishment.

We must get out of Europe and the terrible moneymaking machine that is the EEC for those that run it......sucking the life out of us to the tune of billions of pounds a year....we are living in a country that hasn't the right to catch the fish that live off our own coast......it's quoters, quoters.quoters and you just do what your told......Germany rule.....but didn't we win the war or have I got that wrong.

Its laughable how people still think this island is a huge international player. Leave the EU and we'll become an insignificant rock in the North Atlantic, used by tax avoiders.

If there is a reason to avoid the EU its the terrifying TTIP agreement which will effectively allow huge corporations to sue individual Governments if they introduce legislation that might affect their ability to trade within that nation. For instance tobacco giant Phillip Morris announcing it was going to sue the Australian Government for billions in damages after it announced that all cigarettes are to be sold in plain packaging.

However see if you can find any comment from man of the people Nige, where he completely oposes TTIP. There isn't one.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Sorry I'm confused are you blaming Nige for this as well? Make no mistake this will privatise the NHS and is already doing so. Good comment from the author,

So I don’t know about you, but I’m scared. I would vote against TTIP, except… hang on a minute… I can’t. Like you, I have no say whatsoever in whether TTIP goes through or not.  All I can do is tell as many people about it as possible, as I hope, will you. We may be forced to accept an attack on democracy but we can at least fight against the conspiracy of silence.

Not at all. I would have thought though that someone as keen to preserve British Sovereignity would be shouting about the biggest threat to it in modern history from the rooftops rather than sitting on the fence.

Indeed Hugh, its a crazy scary proposal that reinforces my point about corporate and capitalist greed being the true danger to society as the exploitation of the masses reaches new highs. These guys own the media and thus mates like Murdoch can employ scaremongering deflection tactics targeted at immigrants - the poorest and most vulnerable people who don't have a voice to answer back.

Precisely Zyph, absolutely fecking fecked init!!! I still don't see how you're drawing a vote UKIP conclusion though, I'm sorry mate but I absolutely cannot comprehend it. I've read all your guys stuff on it that you've shared with me and others on here, and I just draw up a different conclusion. One built on the fight for fairness, equality, compassion and tolerance - I'm not going to apologise for that or be made to feel like some loon.

Not at all. I would have thought though that someone as keen to preserve British Sovereignity would be shouting about the biggest threat to it in modern history from the rooftops rather than sitting on the fence.

Erm, my thoughts have nothing to do with sovereignty it's just plain common sense, and I have actually bought up TTIP before, my sister is a paramedic and I have been told about it and it's implications a long time ago. I'm plain bored with the pathetic arguing from the electorate ie whenever a real problem arises the same people label me as a commie, a lefty, right wing, a xenophobe and a racist. I am a middle of the road type guy with no political affiliations to left, centre or right, I have highlighted the problems and we have loads of posts trying to dodge the issues with cries of racism and suggestions that people like me are happy to ally ourselves with the BNP. What solutions are the anti Farage camp suggesting to relieve the crisis in Africa and at home? It seems to me the best argument that can be raised is that if we open the borders to everybody we will be awash with taxes and much better off, although the hospitals and doctors can't cope with the population we have here now, we need more houses and more importantly more jobs and schools. Also as I've asked before, what do you think the capacity of Britain is? Or do you think that it is irrelevant and we have the ability to raise our population to 1bn people without becoming a third world country ourselves?

I've been following the election hustings more closely than most (not necessarily more closely than those reading this thread - I'm not suggesting that to be the case at all) but I don't recall a single mention of TTIP from any manifesto, party leader, spokesperson or candidate.

In fact compared to the many hours of broadcast time and hundreds of column inches devoted to, say, the deficit or the NHS or immigration I don't recall much more than a negligible mention of it at all.

Nor has it cropped up on my FB feed. It does figure quite often on Twitter but if I didn't do Twitter I wouldn't even know it existed to be honest.

As I said before its my paramedic sister who told me about this, her view is that the Tories started it all with a view to privatising the NHS with the obvious people to help being the healthcare providers of USA with them having the experience to deliver. It's all been done very quietly, if you didn't know about Britains ethics and values you could be excused for thinking that the press have been somehow made to keep quiet about it. I personally think that we will have an announcement soon that "private investors" are ready to help out the NHS by pumping in billions of pounds.
The other thing she told me of interest is that the debt of the health service is being sold to hedge fund companies who are changing interest in the hundreds of percent yet said hedge funders operate from overseas companies hence pay no uk tax. Schemes like these, apart from bleeding our health service dry are adding to the myth that the deficit has been reduced, it's just been moved about a bit.

Why can that never happen Les Mis? Because the current system suits the few that have the power and privilege to control it. I'm a bit of a radical lefty, I know, but I don't see why the current form of exploitation and abuse of power should be so readily accepted with a shrug of the shoulders, sigh and "oh well, what could we have done about it?". Like Iggy and SFD have pointed out, this TTIP business is incredibly corrupt and self-serving, yet few seem to be batting an eyelid and the media couldn't care less - happy to get the masses ignorant. Ask yourself why that is.

Once someone is here it is quite hard to remove them.

Well keeping a record of who is here and updating it when and if they leave would be a good start.

There is no problem with removing all illegals from the country, just a lack of will. The laws already exist, including a general acceptance that refugees should apply for asylum in the first safe country they alight in.

Why would they mention something over which the British Parliament has zero control?

TTIP is being negotiated with the EU, nobody will bring it up because the only party suggesting a solution to it is UKIP, the only way to stop TTIP is to leave the EU, the media is not going to go out of its way to help UKIP.

There is no such thing as the 'British Parliament' FFS. The Parliament of the United Kingdom can in theory veto such decisions if it doesnt agree with them

This would be fine were it not for the fact that Labour, The Conservatives, The Liberals and UKIP all agree with it in principal. If you think that leaving the EU would stop this going ahead then you are clueless and deluded.

Does Australia, with its immigration policy and strict points system for entry, manage to get by economically?

Also, are they generally regarded as the Scum of the earth for perceived lack of empathy on refugees landing on their shores?

And do they care?

Blair got elected by Labour voting crunts, thick as fork lefties who voted Labour even though he was more right wing than Thatcher because yer lefty voter is generally too fooking thick to make a rational choice, stick a red rosette on a pig and it would still get elected in Plimuff or Sedgefield, thick feckers can't help themselves.

Even after he went out and started his illegal wars the thick tw@s still turned out to put an X in the box, shame we never made being able to spell your name a prerequisite to vote, Labour would never have got in.

The question should be how can anyone get into this country without a passport.....solve that one and that will be the first building block in are new border control system.....if we ever decide to have one.

Someone awhile back went abroad and came back using their sisters passport by mistake.....no one noticed until his sister found that she had her brothers passport and found hers in her brothers luggage two days after he had returned.

So if they do admit who they are, how do you overcome the issue of actually obtaining a passport for them? The passport has to be issued by an embassy and very few embassies are interested in documenting someone who may be one of their nationals.

You would also have to build 20 or 30 detention centres as well as finding the staff to staff them.

Because people come to the UK with valid documentation only to "lose" it when they are encountered by immigration.
