| Not voting tory and simply cannot vote for Labour. If Labour get in there will be a civil war within the party and Starmer will be ousted within 12 months by the extreme left who, despite what Starmer wants you to believe, are the major force in the party. Would not be surprised to see Corbyn and Diane Abbott in very senior government positions very soon. |

corbyn was kicked out of the party wasnt he? i believe labour will win not by the huge landslide the polls suggest as alot of people including me dont trust labour and sir keir and they haven't shown anything to suggest they could run the country better than a very poor tory government that for the past 5 years has either been in a civil war overthrowing leaders and/or self sabotage mode. Guaranteed we will be back at the polls within 2 years whoever wins. |

Generally, western democracy is in a real perilous state. Here in the UK we're forced to choose between two of the most atrocious parties imaginable and just hope we end up voting for the one who will do least damage. While in the US they have to choose between a narcissistic sociopath convicted criminal and someone with advanced dementia. How has it come to this? |

| I think the time has come for PR voting...(Proportional Representation).
I can remember voting Brexit awhile back....and the party... I believe ...received 13% of all votes cast....and the end result was NIL seats in parliament.....(first past the post rubbish)
Now EU voting was PR style and that is how Brexiteers became the largest UK representatives in the EU.....and didn't Farage become a major thorn in their side and stood up for the UK more than any other UK party.
The Reform Party now with Nigel Farage in charge....plus Sunak's latest blunder....have in some pollsters eyes overtaken the Tory's in the polls.
BUT at the end of the day that promises no seats only a good %age showing....which will get no rewards under a first past the post system.
Labour and the Conservatives will never willingly change the voting system in this country....because it is heavily in there favour ....first past the post voting takes all the spoils.....and PR voting would change their dominance of this out of date flat tyred worn out system.....and the smaller parties would begin to get a say....remember Farage getting our point of view over in the EU parliament and roughing up a few feathers....it's time for a dose of that here.
PS.....My only problem with Nigel Farage at the moment is his support for fruit and nut case Donald Trump....who could start WW3 just as easy as Putin. |
