Too early for UKIP to be able to sort out the nutters that have jumped on board......but a lot of us agree with some of their policies and can see no other way to vote. Little known fact, the Green party actually support having a referendum on the EU.

UKIP and the Tories both claim to be concerned about protecting UK democratic sovereignty, but both support the EU TTIP deal which would allow private companies to sue if they believed a government policy damaged their profits. Thus UKIP and the Tories are quite happy to surrender influence on policy making to unelected corporations. They don't really care about UK democracy (see also UKIP MEP's claiming generous EU expenses, despite apparently being against the EU)! Thus if you want a party that might protect UK democracy,, you might want to vote Green!

UKIP is on record as being 100% against TTIP. You got any more crap you want to post? The single reason I would vote UKIP is because so many clueless fuckwits post untrue drivel about them, I love an under dog me. Some worrying polling for Nigey, ComRes put him in second place in South Thanet, looks a pretty bull shit poll to me but after Survation put him 11% in front in Feb this is a bit of a knock back. |

How long before UKIP die out? Soon, I hope. How long before they realise they're actually in a minority about the EU? When I speak to UKIP voters the only things they seem to mention are all our jobs being taken and us not making any of our own laws. Both are incorrect of course.
Anyway I would rather have neither of the main two parties as those of you who follow me on Twitter will know, but give me Conservatives over Labour amyday. ESPECIALLY lets try to acoid the SNP.. Truly inane, UKIP will continue to grow as long as we are stuck in the EUSSR, despite this foolish boy's ramblings polling on the referendum makes it too close to call, that is why the EUSSR loving wankers are too scared to give us a vote, the establishment as ever is shiite scared of democracy. The only real hope is a Tory minority with UKIP holding the balance, which is about as likely as Josh here learning how to find his own arse using both hands, no offence like. Five more years of bull shit will only serve to harden Kipper support as the decline in the EU gives us more problems than we need. |

My whole life I've watched lacklustre politicians of all hues offering bribes for votes in the very definition of short-termism leaving the generations yet to come to pick up the tab. Nobody has looked further than the 5 year window to the next election, God forbid that pattern is allowed to continue. I never thought I would say it but the last government has started to address the unpopular long term issues of pensions and welfare with a 50 year view and for that I give them great credit. Unfortunately to achieve anything a party needs to be in power and us older folk are benefiting disproportionately for one reason only...we turn up to vote(and there are more and more of us).
You really think allowing people to take their pension pots and piss it up the wall is taking a long term view? I do agree that the coalition has not been the total clusterfork it is portrayed, they were dealt a pretty awful hand by Broon and have to a certain extent stopped much of the rot, but they, as with their predecessors, are pretty much at the mercy of the world economy as created by the Feds largesse. |

| Tis, is your hatred of the EU based on anything other than anger? We'd better stay in the EU if our economy is so tinpot compared to the rest of the world. |

To be fair since the early polling the voters of Thanet have had a chance to get a good look at Farage and good ol' Nigey has had a chance to get his message across. That has probably affected the recent polling. |

| Tis has a very valid point about the referendum, if everybody is so pro eu what would it matter to ask the population whether they want to be in or out? They are fudging the issue because they know that them and their mates will be flung off the gravy train, democracy my arse, it's all an illusion. |

You get a referendum with the Greens, which is what you want. Their stance on the EU doesn't determine the result of the referendum. The SNP were pro independence, but they didn't get independence with their referendum. All UKIP appear to have said is that they'd exclude the NHS from the TTIP (http://www.paulnuttallmep.com/tag/ttip/), not that they are against the treaty, or these sort of free trade deals in principle. There's no mention of TTIP I can find on the UKIP website. |

| Interesting, FTB throws down the gauntlet, Tis rises to the challenge and edges flatulently toward the centre of the ring dodging and weaving, throwing the odd feint when FTB sends out a stiff jab! Pow! How will Tis respond?

Definition of stupidity - Doing the same thing time after time & expecting a different outcome. I had a foreman years ago who was a staunch Tory, always voted Tory always will do. I remember him throwing down the Mirror (which was his daily paper) in disgust saying, "they've never got a good word to say about the government!" nuff said. |

| Nearly choked on me weetabix this morning when I saw the headlines in the Telegraph......"we are the true party of working people" says Cameron.
He will also say today that he will give voters "security at every stage of your life" by revolutionising the right-to-buy housing scheme to ensure it applies to housing association tenants. It will give 1.3 million tenants the right to buy their homes.
So Cameron becomes Thatcher MK2 and will condemn those poorer in society who can never even dream of having a home to never ever becoming eligible to ever dreaming of having a Council/Housing Association property.....BY SELLING OFF THE LIMITED AMOUNT OF PROPERTIES TO SITTING TENANTS......OK good for some who have a nest egg to be able to get on that ladder of home ownership......but despair for those that have been waiting for years to get to the front of the queue for a Council/Housing Association home......Cameron will reduce the available properties by selling them off........and by so doing convert the lucky ones who can do it ......too becoming the next generation of home owning Tory voters......a new age of Thatcherism/Cameronism is upon us.
Quoting the Telegraph again....."The new policies will reinvigorate the Conservative election campaign and are designed to woo back disaffected UKIP voters and wavering Labour supporters across England".
What prime ammunition for Miliband to use to fight Thatcherism/Cameronism....can't wait to see how little Ed will use these Tory nuggets.......as I wait,......did I see another pink elephant fly by. |

| I just can't see how Cameron can form a government after the election. It looks like they're going to end up with about 280 seats at the moment, which even with 25 or so Lib Dem MPs and one or two UKIPs will still leave them short of a majority. Labour + SNP seem to be around the magic 325 number, so if they had Lib Dem, Green and Plaid Cymru backing in a vote of confidence they'd be sorted. Cameron's big problem is that the SNP are going to have as much clout as the Cleggies did last time, but are extremely unlikely to back a Tory minority. |
