- I don't even get why Brent deserves any thanks at all. He saw a business opportunity in the development of HHP. That is the only reason he came in in the first place. Argyle not going to the wall was merely a welcome byproduct of him coming in. Saving Argyle was a necessity if he were to have any chance of realising his Clusterfuck dream.
Shame it was all for nothing. The truth of it all, reluctant bidder my ass! I'm sure all the time speccy was courting PCC with his what seemed straight forward plans to the dimwits on the council, his eyes were rolling like 3 raspberries on a fruit machine hitting the jackpot at the potential for his 2 sided devious plans. For how long had he worked on his schemes with the council before he came in at the last minute, must be a year or 2, the council should have smelt a rat when he used the word reluctant bidder, no wonder all other bidders were bullied off by his henchmen. PCC have now got egg all over their faces at being duped, what guarantees were tied into all these deals that should speccy default, that the monies and land would be retutrned to the rightful owners, i.e. you and me, be a fecking disgrace if this were not to be so! |

| What if we get the land back, how do PCC turn that undeveloped bit of tarmac back into £800,000? |

| Brent should not be allowed to profit from any of the deals done with or 'favours' given by PCC. If he is unable to come good on his side of the deal(to build a new grandstand for PAFC) the land once owned by PCC should be returned to them immediately. |

| It took the Herald from 27th November until a few days ago to make it in to a support Brent column. |

| I predict that when the majority of the debt has been paid off (next year?) then interest in the club from the relevant investors will peak - the likes of Ken Bates and other football centered investors will start to appear out of the woodwork
Many reasons this will happen
- Little or no debt is left that needs to be saddled onto other investment vehicles (such as ground etc) - No need for large tangible assets (see above) to cover debts (mortgages/etc) - Planning permission is still in place whether or not HHP is dead. - We will have a (more) motivated seller
Its just a waiting game, the right moment for a new buyer to step in is not quite here yet.
So what will an invester want to see?
- A cheap relatively untapped "Brand" with potential American growth? (Plymouth connection) - Naming rights - A league 1 club - Planning permissions

| Brent and is waxkers sheep has lost one of their argument ,the west end v's the east end now that the Council is selling Colin Court area off for redevelopment.
SHH seems not to be pulling the plug on their redevelopment as new plans has gone on show. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] So Robinson complains that the Bretonside development will cause more congestion to the city centre, so the cinema ought to be built in Home park. He obviously isn't a Peverell/ Milehouse resident or commuter who regularly uses Outland Road! Outland Road struggles with traffic at every rush hour- building (not that its likely to happen) more shit at HHP will cause even more problems on Outland Road, which will have a knock on effect on the rest of the city. |

| The waxker on the farm memory man wrote If the Civic Centre is listed, why is Bretonside Bus Station not listed - it was opened three years before. I mean, anyone with just a layman's knowledge of architecture can see what a fine, attractive edifice the bus station is (lol). Indeed, when it was opened by the transport minister of the day he called it "The finest of its kind in all of Great Britain Bermudian Green How do we go about getting it listed? If it was, then the proposed development there would be dead in the water, the HHP scheme would be the only left on the table, the new "Grand"stand would be built, Plymouth would be a production line for the NHL, and Argyle would inevitably rise up the leagues and on to European domination. All we need is to keep Bretonside...... Two can play at that game, I will list the Mayflower Stand, the rustic look of the stand blends in with the rest of the park. I will bring this up at the next meeting of TFOCP |

| The designer of the Mayflower was responsible for a some magnificent Grandstands, Highbury and Ibrox to name just two. Ours, while smaller and less grand(sound familiar? a Plymouth trait I'm affraid) was nonetheless pretty impressive in it's day and is only seen as unfit for purpose by some because of a shocking lack of maintenance and TLC down the years. New seats, freshly painted, facilities(toilets, food and drink outlets) updated and a thorough clean from top to bottom, seating installed on the Mayflower terrace and the two corners and our capacity would be around 20k. That would be fine for everything but Premier League football and the stadium would look pretty impressive once again. Any additional corporate facilities could easily be built behind the Grandstand if and when required by the prawn sarnie brigade, circus tents for the avivas, a new club shop and ticket office, It's all possible at a fraction of the cost of a new Grandstand that we don't particularly need imo. |

Morrison pasties are £2 for two this week, but they look a bit smaller |

Baked in store. Used to be made by Crantock Bakery & supplied to Morrisons uncooked. Edible though. |

| Sorry, Morrisons pasties are devoid of one vital ingredient - meat. They're full of mushy shit that doesn't really taste of anything. At least a Dewdney is full of mushy shit, but bizarrely tastes 'ansum. |

| This was posted on the farm
Quote
I wonder if JB's Five directions Ltd company currently running the Pavillions have turned around the £1.5M/yr losses that the £2M dowry from PCC was to offset? Could cause him a headache with delays, but being allowed to close the leisure pool probably helped considerably (quote)
HHP is not his only worry, I hear the Pavilion could come back and bite him in the ass. If he do not deliver and he break's the contact he will have to pay more then the £2m dowry back. Watch this space. |

| I heard quite some time ago & posted on here that it was rumoured the pavilions ice rink was likely to close at the end of 2014 as refrigerant used (R22) becomes illegal to use from January 2015.
