I don't even get why Brent deserves any thanks at all. He saw a business opportunity in the development of HHP. That is the only reason he came in in the first place. Argyle not going to the wall was merely a welcome byproduct of him coming in. Saving Argyle was a necessity if he were to have any chance of realising his Clusterfuck dream.
Shame it was all for nothing.

Scrap the fecking new grandstand, FFS, Revamp the old girl that is there now, get the seats in again on the Mayflower terracing, fill in the corners - that'll do for the next 50 years. Voila!! Capacity back to somewhere it should be for our current league situation. 400-600k!! I'm sure Brent can afford that out of his own pocket.
Then he can feck off. I'm sick of this perennial merry-go-round of a clucterfuck of a plan for the/a new grandstand. Either that or scrap the whole fecking shebang.
Argyle FC of Plymouth, anyone?
no thanks the current argyle can be saved if the trust/fans and others actively encourage brent to sell up now before admin mark 2 hits. The club will be more attractive to wannabe new owners with buisness sense, like football and have some money then

And he knew he had to get the likes of the Windsor Boys onside, like kids let loose in a sweet shop. They keep the Avivas happy, bucket rattling and festing, whilst he gets away with trying to fill his boots without tiresome questioning from educated w@nkers. PCC, the erald, pasoti.............. all bending over backwards and still he tries to get something for nothing and boxes the club into a village mindset for generations to come.
If anyone really believes he actually likes or relates to the Windsor Boys, they must be utterly naive. Useful idiots in his game plan, is about as far as it goes.

Agree with Czarcs, Brent did not save the club the council did! why thank him for convincing a bunch of local Dimwits that he's some sort of Messiah? he thought there was money to be made at HomePark, who knows maybe there is if someone is going to put some money in first! as us fans in the Free world know it wont be posh jim.

With regard to the OP, I think that hostage-taking is a better analogy than blackmail. From afar, it seems like this time the council may just say, "well shoot the hostage, then."
The beloved club was always the hostage to broker the development deal. But when the terrorist got the jet that he demanded then sat in it on the tarmac for 18 months, how else should the council respond?

Don't make it there often Seadog, but happened to be downtown last month. Alas, not a freighter in sight.
But it is Kenosha Kickers time of year again:

Pathetic statement written by a bumptious ungrateful piggy-nosed cnut.
PCC bent over backwards to help Argyle, then mastermind 'emotionally intelligent' Jonesy goes down the snidey public shaming route. They just gave you a 800k loan FFS and basically saved the club 3 years ago. Don't blame them for your shit HHP scheme that's died on it's arse. Belt up you free loading pigface

Pasoti posters seem to have trouble with the difference between the planned Coach hub and a Coach/Bus Station - led by Nool the Fool.

Yes, a coach station not a bus station. He knows this of course. 7-8 platforms seems perfectly reasonable for a coach station.

How many trains do you see parked up in a railway station? Not very many.
In fact I'd say that having 26 coaches parked up is very much an inefficient usage of valuable city centre space. Surely all they need to do is park up, drop everybody off, load the next lot on and drive off?
26 coaches could easily park up and wait somewhere else if that is all they are doing.

Colin Campbell Court is being sold off by PCC, allegedly to Trathen Properties.
## 'erald link ##

“The council has made it clear through the City Centre Area Action Plan that it will support an inventive mixed-use redevelopment scheme there, linked to the Pannier Market area and to the nearby Millbay area.
Would it be too much to ask that PCC tell JB to shove HHP and ask for the Ice Rink to be incorporated in this development giving a boost to the West End, but looking at Trathen Properties portfolio that would be beyond their limitations. More Student Accommodation?

I see the Herald has printed the big guns in support of HHP, Rodger Ruse and Mr Robinson (I wonder do he still receive his free ST) no support printed in favour of Brentonside today.

7/8 docking platforms for coaches is more than enough for the proposed new coach hub.
National Express have about 12/13 departures/connecting services a day from Muff. On average they're there for roughly 30 minutes, spread out thus - 1 very early departure, around 4 09:00-ish departures, roughly 4 dinnertime departures and a couple around 15:00 and 17:00.
If private hire coaches are also going to use the hub - that'll be on a drop and drive basis, i.e drop off the punters, pick em up later. They should be in the coach hub no more then 15 minutes. If the new coach hub is going to be solely for coaches, it'll be empty for the best part of the day.
