Haha, I've been fuming about the wrong car park for our Bus Station. I knew it was brainless to put it where I THOUGHT it was going. 6:44 PM - 15 Dec 2014 · Details

| I do hope Plebb tries to 'release the hounds' or attempt a pathetic twitter campaign to block this BL development, it would be so amusing.

| Think back to when the chuckle brothers had looked the fine gentleman in the eye. He had chosen them as his jamboys and their remit was to deflect and marginalise any criticism. In return they got the run of the place.
'There will be no walleted directors' and 'We [meaning 'us two'] get to build the club'. This is what they are still fighting for, against the best interests of PAFC and its wider fanbase.
I bet they and their puppetmaster are mightily pissed off that their generous sponsor ran out of cash, or they might by now be helping him run the club into Aviva hell, whilst the fine gentleman scarpers, pockets and pension pot bulging. |

| I have no doubt at all that Brent will depart wealthier than when he arrived to 'save us' |

| No way will he be wealthier. He'll openly and transparently shout from the rooftops of the protected loans that he had to burden to keep the club afloat.
That the debts are probably ironclad will never be mentioned or the fact that his property/land portfolio is considerably larger or that his pension pot now dwarfs that of a third world country. Cynical, moi? |

| The only way he put his family at risk was to leave his safe rugger playing, county town status EX postcode to mix with the masses in PL. The only difference between the two is that Plymouth tends to be led be fuckwitted Janners who are impressed by a leveraged pound from "up the line".
Plymouth's elected class from whatever colour tend to be uneducated wannabees. Brent must be pissing himself that he found this peninsula first. |

| British Land in Plymouth
Drake Circus, one of the West Country's most popular shopping destinations, is located in the centre of Plymouth and is the city's first covered shopping centre. The centre has a large catchment area covering Devon and Cornwall and an annual footfall of nearly 19 million people.
The 570,000 sq ft centre, which was opened in 2006, is a modern, well configured and attractive environment for people to shop in. It has around 70 shops and restaurants and 1,270 car parking spaces. Since we acquired the centre in 2011, we have successfully attracted a range of new brands, including Apple, Fat Face and Yo! Sushi. 10,000 sq ft of lettings were agreed recently adding new brands such as schuh Kids, Boux Avenue, Regus Express and Ed’s Easy Diner, and bringing occupancy to 100%.
In September 2014, we signed an agreement with Plymouth City Council to develop Drake Circus Leisure, a circa 100,000 sq ft leisure scheme next to the shopping centre. The £40 million development will include a 12 screen cinema operated by Cineworld and 13 restaurant units, broadening the appeal of Drake Circus, establishing it as an evening destination and extending its trading hours.
Key occupiers
Marks and Spencer, Primark, Next, Topshop/Topman, Cult, H&M, New Look, River Island, Monsoon, Fat Face, Apple, Hotel Chocolat, schuh, Jones Bootmaker alongside Superdry alongside Yo! Sushi, Ed’s Easy Diner and Costa.
Sustainability
Drake Circus is helping local children's sailing charity Horizons give 1,200 schoolchildren the chance to take part in educational sessions. In partnership with the National Literacy Trust and British Land, the team is also offering hundreds of local schoolchildren the opportunity to choose free books and take part in fun literacy events at Drake Circus, nurturing their love for reading.
Environmental achievements at the Centre include an 8% reduction in landlord-influenced energy use in just two years, saving occupiers £19,000 and cutting carbon emissions by around 100 tonnes. |

| A detailed planning application for the scheme is now being developed and will be submitted in early 2015. David Pollock, Retail Development Director for British Land, said: “The proposed leisure scheme creates an opportunity to take Drake Circus to the next level, and with a number of new brands added, is a very strong example of our strategy to create Places People Prefer. “We are delighted to be working with Plymouth City Council on this project to establish Drake Circus as the West Country’s retail and leisure destination of choice.” PS Fuxk Brent, Fuxk HHP, Long live FOCP and ATD |

| Maybe PCC should allow British Land to develop other parts of the city. Why not get BL to redevelop colin cambell court with another shopping mall. Which would bring more people to the lower half of the city and hopefully it would increase customer numbers for the smaller shops. |

A Plymouth first..... A Mini Bus Station with a directors box? Geddon BL Get it built!
It not a Bus station, it an intercity coach station. The entrance is more then two coaches wide and if the driver's cannot turn into the coach station from Mayflower Street they should not be behind the wheel. According to the Herald The new coach station has two more spaces for intercity coaches than currently at Bretonside coach and bus park. So thats their little argument down the pan [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Just re-read it. I believe all it does is to say providing you sign up the tenants we will fund the build. Signing up the tenants is still the hard bit.

...and the tenants who are reluctant to commit already will be non-existent if Odeon pull out, which they will if Bretonside is approved. |

| As a poster has just said elsewhere, this company has a vested interest in the Vue Cinema/Barbican Leisure Park/Warner Village or whatever the fork it's called these days, Obviously then, they would much rather see HHP developed than the nearby Bretonside |
