| Defensively we have improved this season IMO. Compared to this time last season the replacements have been; McHugh/ Purrington replacing Blackman and Reckord Nelson who is now a year older Hartley replacing Trotman Mellor replacing Berry O'Connor replacing Blizzard in the CDM role.
Hourihane didn't win as many tackles as the likes of what O'Connor will and quite often picked up bookings but he did put players on the ball on a lot of pressure.
Clearly those who doubted his ability when he left us (there were a few) are being proved wrong as he has already won August League 1 player of the month and most be one of the favourites to win the September player of the month.
How much did the club receive for Hourihane? I know it was £200k plus add one but £100k went to the balloon payment and Ipswich had a sell on clause on him. |

| Would you prefer no club then?, is that why you're so angry?
I'm just pragmatic, and I'm not in anyone's 'gang', least of all yours but not Ian Newell's either. I don't like being in league 2 any more than the next man. But if James Brent is keeping the life support on then he beats the grim reaper all ends up.
.....not that it's got anything to do with Conor Hourihane or John Sheridan of course. |

James Brent ain't perfect but imperfect trumps dead. no you just gave a typical pasoti type answer to a straight question you dont want to answer yes or no. i'll ask again lets see if you can cut the BS and answer it will it take another pending admin for you and the rest of newell's gang to wake up and smell the coffee over brent or are you just happy to have a club to support despite all of brents failings? |

| You can't give a yes or no answer to hypothetical question, especially when asked in such a bias and agenda laden way.
I support James Brent because he's better than the alternative. He was better than liquidation and better than AFC Heaney/Ridsdale. Despite all the bellyaching from the anti's there remains no alternative, no-one is 'waiting in the wings'.
I've no idea what position I'll take if a second administration happens because it'd depend on the circumstances given. |

I beg to disagree which i did at the time, it was a shit deal by a no ambition clueless regime, jose murihinio could not get this club promoted under the dead hand of Brent! Sherridan aint great but who else could polish this green Turd?
They are truly retarded if they think £200,000 was a good deal and no one really and the fact Sheridan a manager who has won this league and done well at oldham and chesterfield in leagues 2 and 1 is struggling that should tell you about the club at the moment. its not the football thats important its the hhp Erm, never said it was a "great deal" at all, it was a 'Hobson's choice' deal, as good a deal as we were ever likely to get in the circumstances.
When a player decides he's going to leave you're left with the choice to either get what you can now or accept you'll get nothing in a year's time.
Would he have given us £200,000 (plus wages) value as a disgruntled player forced to play in league 2? One's level of "retarded"ness would depend on one's answer. Personally I don't think so.
The club did the right thing but I'd far rather he'd stayed. If you're gonna quote me, at least get it right. Southampton have a player called morgan sniedelin ( spelling) he wanted to leave, the club made him stay. i read he's been their best player. Brent could have done the same, but suprise suprise he took the small fee for the new Barnsley goal machine. Argyle think small act small, you and the rest of the disciples are all the same, still believing in the non action man. |

Sounds to me that he will happy to see the club die just as long as brent stays in charge if a 2nd admin happens and it will if brent stays in charge for much longer the club will die thanks to brent we have no assets. If the club isnt up for sale how does anyone know who is out there no one does! |

| I'm sorry but you're just off your tits. If you can extrapolate that I want the club to die from any of what I've said, ever, then I'm clearly engaged in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
What happened to the (relatively speaking ;-) ) moderate ATD'ers?, everyone seems on the rabid end of the scale these days. |

| One man's "drivel" is another man's articulation. I can't help you with your inability to distinguish the difference.
And Ian Newell is most certainly not welcome to me, I'm no-one's beeeatch, I'm my own man. Observant individuals would notice that. |

Tring,Freathy,Rickler and Greenjock are currently on an Akkeron management trainee course.Expect they'll be back soon, heard there was a problem in finding adequate facilities.Dunno where the other moderates are though. |

That'll largely be down to the absolute Clusterfuck of a plan your hero Brent has miserably failed with in our City. Oh, and the fact that PAFC's biggest and oldest fans forum is now run with a rod of iron by Brents Jamboy-in-Chief. There are probably other mitigating factors too, and it's pompous knobends like you who simply cannot admit you called it totally and utterly wrong with your supreme confidence in all things Brent/Akkeron, that winds people up. |

You tell him angry, he should answer with a simple yes or no. Furthermore, i would ask him where he thinks Brent is taking the club (if not towards a second administration), as it does not look encourging at the moment, both on and off the pitch. When many see little clubs doing better in L2 than Argyle, they sigh with disgust at the thought of it and who can blame them. Moving on to an important matter, the club have a huge balloon payment on the horizon and a great number will want to know if that will be met on time. If that deadline is missed, it will certainly be curtains for Argyle in its current guise. Brent and the Board are not transparent enough in releasing club details as they once promised. What are they hiding.....
