If this is true (i am sceptical at this stage), one would hope that there may have been a sell on clause added to the deal made with Barnsley...

Scored a cracking 25 yarder against Yeovil on Saturday. 3 goals so far I think?

Do you think Hourihane has a sell on clause? or did the Great Leader in his haste to grab Barnsley's two hundred grand not bother?

It's an Argyle tradition to not negotiate decent sell-on clauses. Despite the remarkable and astute business sense of The Reluctant One, I doubt whether Hourihane's deal was any different.

I don't think that's right that it's an Argyle tradition. It was fairly well publicised that we received some money for Barnes and Noone when they switched clubs. And both those deals were done when we were in serious high water financially. For deals conducted where there is no imminent threat, you'd certainly think we'd be in even more a position to negotiate add ons. |
