| Best thing about last night was the home made pasty that I had before the game. Fluffy potatoes, grated swede - a good bit of onion and juicy skirt all wrapped up in nice crisp pastry. |

Go on I'll run with it, ooh I do like a juicy bit of skirt! Seriously thought the difference between a decent pasty and some bakery efforts is like chalk and cheese. Must have skirt, lots of onion, mmmmm. (Matesons need taking to account for branding mmmmm so that it reminds me of reconstituted pigs lips and aresholes.) |

| Enough meat already!
The other day, taking a shortcut through Drake Circus, I saw a bloke get nicked for shoplifting. From Primark.
Actually, I felt quite sorry for him. How desperate do you have to be to steal from a shop where a voucher for £100 would buy clothes for a family of five. For two or three years. |

| I didn't realize that Primark sold cloths.....I just thought that all that material laying all over the shop floor was to hide the poor state of the carpets.
Our local one used to be an up market Departmental Store called Allders. |

| My Dad had three skills that I used to greatly admire. One he could blow his nose directly onto the ground, without a handkerchief. Two when ferreting he could pick up and kill a rabbit, gut it and skin it in one movement in about 15 seconds. Three when gathering pea or bean sticks he could bind them together firmly and securely using a hazel stick. Two and Three would be of no use to me nowadays (He used to get about 200 rabbits a week) One would still be useful. He was also a crack shot and taught me which served me well when call up time came. Once I got on the rifle range everyone was amazed, the only one who could match me was an ex Royal Marine. |

| Just had my tea/lunch before going back to bed ready for another shitty night shift tonight. Last one though, then another four off. :Note to self: Reggae Reggae 'Xtra hot' version sauce, is too fooking hot when smothered on grilled chicken. |

| I used to love Ferreting, I kept Ferrets from about ten years of age. I can also tie a bundle of sticks with a jump or withy, stand on the thin end of a small whippy hazel stem, wind it round and round like you would a brace and bit and the fibres will twist and separate. The put the thick end of the withy in the bundle through the middle at ninety degrees, then twist the rod and bend it into a small eye (similar to a rope when making a wagoners hitch) then run the withy around the bundle, twist back around the eye and tie the end through your binding a couple of times. Easy when you know how. I would have got on well with your old man Pete. |

| My dad could drink a lot. Probably because he practiced every day till his liver decided it didn't like drinking practice any more. |

I would have got on well with your old man Pete. Top marks for the bundle, that's exactly how he did it. Looking back I realise he was really a poacher but they were good old days. |

My mum hadn't realised my dad was a drunk until he came home sober one evening. (I made that up.) |
