I'm very fussy about sausages, well all meat in general. That's how I judge a hotel or B&Bs, shite breakfast sausage and the rest of the standards won't be good either.

Crap sausages just disintegrate in the frying pan - and they've got to be fried. Grilling a sausage is like having a diet coke with your super-size Big Mac meal. Pointless.

I was watching the Comedy channel yesterday and Andy Parsons did a gag based around how awful Kendal Mint cake was. I don't think I've ever tried it. I may buy some.

I only eat chicken. Sometimes, if on special offer, I only eat quorn chicken, well it's not chicken because it's quorn, but it tastes like chicken, thought it's not, but it does - oh FFS, you know what I mean.

I know what you mean about shite sausages.

You should try the sausages from Voisins at Hyde Park because they're very good and it isn't far from Mannamead. Almost like a classy shite sausage. If that makes sense.

Nice pasties too if they have them.

I do have a little foray into Voisins on occasion - and I agree the pasties are amazing. I get sausages from my free range guy - and they are great - but I just love the pink pulpy version that Richmond make.

Love that end of Mutley - and glad that the Hyde Park pub will be back in operation soon. Looks like they're making a great job of doing it up  drunken

A mate of mine got back from the pub one night and all he had to eat was some dried soya chicken pieces. He broke out a four pack and sat and watched a film whilst eating chicken pieces washed down with lager. About an hour later he started to get a bit of stomach ache, it got worse and worse until his stomach looked like he'd swallowed a basketball. He was in agony for two days when he had to go to the doctors for constipation, after several enemas he ended up with a nurse wearing rubber gloves doing a manual extraction! Made us laugh anyway.
