Opened the cupboard. A measuring jug fell out. Landed on a wine glass. Smash. Bugger.

Just started making my sandwiches for lunch. I put the bread on the chopping board and my wife said "I was going to use that, but no worries". After that shaky start the sandwich turned out pretty well with some homemade chili jam and a lovely mature cheddar on wholemeal.

No worries my ass.

Our chopping board is glass, which blunts your knives a lot quicker when chopping...so I was told the other day.

I took the plunge and bought a load of LED bulbs to replace the halogen ones in my kitchen as they blew. All the halogens but one (11 outta 12) went within about a 3 month period round about Xmas last year. The lone halogen bulb that didn't blow back then lasted until about ten days ago! The performance of this bulb compared to the others was pretty impressive I have to say. It's almost as if it was some kind of ninja bulb.

I've replaced it with an LED now. Thankfully, none of the others have gone yet.
