Peggy's Mundane Thread

All new decking going in today. Should be all finished by the time I get back from my little break in a cottage in Cornwall.

Received the flu jab letter yesterday.

Chipped a tooth. Cost £50 to fix it.

Washing machine playing up. Bloke's just been to look at it and said it'd cost more to repair it than to get a new one.

Now waiting for the third thing which breaks and costs a lot to sort out.

Had a new tyre put on the car on Tuesday, had the tracking set on Wednesday and today found I needed another new tyre.

I wish I had such trivial problems as tyres, in the last two weeks I've had my camshaft replaced in my van £1200, my PC had to be replaced £120 s/hand, piston gone on my big chainsaw £300 and my tractor is in pieces, dont know how much that will cost yet, bad month for me.

Look on the bright side Iggy, it looks like HHP is fooked as well!

Going to see friend (yes I have one) in Poole tomorrow on the way to Bournemouth airport. They order scornes, Devon clotted cream, hogs pudding from Tavistock and two large Dewdneys

Off to run a bath for my son after his day of paintballing. He's not had the best of Saturdays for the last 2 weekends. Today he was shot in the arse and last week he was shit on by a bird while playing football!!!

Two people have put their green bins up today. I'm 99% sure that is isn't 'green bin day'. Do they know something I don't? I'm hoping the first person to put it up has just got it wrong, and that the other one just waits till someone chooses a colour bin to put up, then follows suit. Problem is, I doubt I'll still be here when the conundrum is unraveled.

Something to look forward to when I get home, I guess.

Our green bin day was Friday. Tomorrow is red bin and grey bin day.

Waiting at home for the man to come and replace a window, seal a hole in a post and repair the plaster in the conservatory. I could do it myself but the wife took out a 10 year insurance policy which has nearly finished.

Are you supposed to paint chimneys? Good job I haven't got one, cos it would never occur to me to paint it.

Besides, I get terrible vertigo.

My next door neighbours roof was leaking and I had to paint my chimney to prove it to the wanker.

I'm not doing Santa this year so don't rush to do your chimney's. I did Santa last year though. Got the sack.

Monday wasn't green bin day after all. Phew.

In other news this mild weather is making my chimney rather redundant at the minute.

Easy now Alan, I went up north once, still have nightmares.
In other worse news my in laws are home for a couple of weeks.

I've got to go to a sh***y northern grim place tomorrow. Redruth.
