Quite an emotive ## eco letter ## highlighting the deficiencies of Akkeron ecology study.
Should have done research on this for Objections. If anyone has spare couple of hours today you could still play an absolute showstopper by googling new development ecology study and comparing to the one in planning.
Sure IJN will testify to seeing lizards (protected great crested newts?) and bats (which species?) within walking distance of HHP Interesting that last page of ## HHP Reptile Survey ## shows that it only covered area to behind BPE and Marquees.
Non-fans representative IJN notes on ## P@SOTI link ## to seeing lizard in Gilbert Lane not covered by the survey.
## Reptiles: Guidelines for Developers ## details protection afforded to slow worms, common lizards, adders and grass snakes.
Any swampys ou there able to spare a bit of time today to compose letter to PCC and Natural England or pass on details to FoCP? I would have done, but no time today. Must be somebody though? |

I hadn't previously read the ## Planning Application Ecological Survey ## as expected FoCP etc to be all over it. Not sure if they have twigged (see what I did there) the implications of a no lighting policy to protect bats feeding along Gilberts Lane for the service yard and hotel with all its rooms facing that direction. The possible extended Plan B road around the hotel will also affect Gilberts Lane as well as encroaching on area identified in Plymouth Biodiversity Network. Japanese knotweed has also been identified on site. If you look at disposal methods for this I would say September start date has been lost already Letters dated after the 3rd July are cropping up (see what I did there) on the PCC website |

Letters dated after the 3rd July are cropping up (see what I did there) on the PCC website takes at least two years to eradicate this, it cant be burnt, dumped, hacked etc. the only method of removal is to inject each section(it grows like bamboo) twice during the active growth season and again during its dormant time. if left it will break through concrete (really!) and spreads at an alarming rate. I'd say this ,more than anything else in the findings, and the planning application, will effect the development, it may even stop it altogether. hoorah for those victorian botanists! |

I would suggest that we start all around the back of the barn park end and the lyndy for starters. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Is anyone going to submit a request to speak at the PCC planning committee meeting dedicated to the HHP development?
They allow members of the public to speak as long as they have enough notice.
The very least that could be achieved, is opposition to the plans being recognised in the official write up. |
