If used properly, certainly. If nothing else it could offer news and match day updates that don't make us look like like an under-15's team. |

- Hold on a second. Just reading the Herald online and Brent has said he will add 2,500 seats to the new Grandstand as and when required ??
That seems to be unmentioned amongst the Dissenters ?? Inotherwards the Stadium will hold what most people wish for namely 20,000 should we return hopefully to the Championship ??
I think time for knocking has come to an end ?? I was 80/20 in favour as I mentioned earlier but that really seals it for me. Brent will be gone as soon as HHP is completed!!..cant you see? He will then hand over to a tuppeny millionaire like Nickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk who will do squat apart from buy shirts or pay for Aviva buses. |

| Just re-read the poorly worded (twas ever thus) article in the Herald and I think that the extra 2.5k seats being referred to could be the much talked about and probably unfeasible expansion of the horseshoe? |

and only if we reach the Premier and Brent himself has said he intends to hand the Club over to a new owner long before then. |

Great is probably the wrong word but avoiding relegation, securing a decent manager and confirmation that 99% the Development is going ahead is not too wide of the mark.
Time to stop knocking I think. But we're only just warming up, wait until the planning stages kick off! |

Thought as much. If i am being honest the new stand does look impressive even with the two leyton orient style corners but hey cant it be made taller so it can fit 8000. why has a sodding ice rink got to come before a football club that will make more money than that ever will. Have the trust/WG made a comment i havent seen one as of late. |

I think time for knocking has come to an end ?? I was 80/20 in favour as I mentioned earlier but that really seals it for me. Much as it pains me to say it (joke ..... ) I think punchdrunk is absolutely right. If I remember rightly, Mr Brent said he would be around for only a few years. Just when money will need to be spent to expand, he will be gone. The possibility to build into the horseshoe is disputed. There are claims that it would only provide restricted views - I have no idea. There are suggestions that in order to expand there would entail closure of the access road for a lengthy period - I don't know. But, at best, it would provide only 2,000 to 2,500 seats which would, as you say, take us up to about 20,000. But that's it! Any future expansion possibility could only be done at great expense in the Devonport End. But, as I have said so many times, capacity is not the only consideration. If your claimed 80/20 bias is solved by the "discovery" that a small number of seats could at some indeterminate time in the future be added to the horseshoe then I ask if you have read any of the debate on here or pasoti before signing up? There are a long list of other reasons that the current Akkeron proposals are an abomination and damaging for the future of our club:the 'theft' of space within the present footprint; the crazy access road arrangements; I now see that the corners are also devoted to non-club benefit. You're new on here, DutchGreen so, if I may give a little bit of personal history ..... I began being impressed with Mr Brent. I attended three of his meetings with the fans - the Guildhall, the ATD meeting at the Cherry Tree and the CityBus. I sought out his statements in the press. I sat through his local tv interview in which he talked at length about his aspirations. I am not taking up my current position based on prejudice. He spoke well and made commitments and talked of some positive modern thinking in football club development and ownership. I was impressed and said so. I wanted to give him time to deliver on that. I thought it was unfair some of the criticism he came in for. I got a lot of stick for it on here. I would do it again. I believe it's essential to give people a chance. I prefer to think the best of people rather than the worst (maybe a balance of those two is better). My view now is that he has not delivered - worse than failing in his attempts, I'm not even sure he has actually attempted anything other than to give the bare minimum to the club in order to maximise his own gains. |

| So what are the two big white lumps of concrete either side of the pitch that say Plymouth Argyle above it?
Because the dugouts can be seen on the halfway line with players in red bibs and green bibs on either side. |

Time to stop knocking I think. I am knocking Brent for reducing the size of the ground, we are after an extra £800k to realise our dreams, you can support a cinema, an ice rink and an hotel in HP but not a football stadium the size before Brent took over! Lord give me strength! |
