'ocean city' can be summed up by the graffiti turning smeatons tower in to a cock

Yes, I had a chuckle at that little naughtiness at Elburton a couple of weeks ago, travelling back from Yealmpton.... you have to say the sign was asking for it.

Someone somewhere gets paid far too much for that sort of branding drivel that bears no relation to anything REAL whatsoever. Whatever happened to shipshape, keep tidy blah blah ... where is the audit proving the effectiveness of all these campaigns ? Every town/city is baying for a strap line these days, or even a #.... and by jingo there's plenty of Landan branding experts out there just waiting to relieve them of their money. I must dig out and re-read Gordon Comstock's thoughts on such banal pointlessness.

Spot on.

Exeter "Pride of Devon", always was, always will be.

We used to be the city of discovery or something like that, now we are ocean city.......is that really going to attract millions, thousands, hundreds,or even tens now that we have speed cameras/bus lane cameras on every street corner...I think not...meanwhile the council collect their £60 every time the camera goes flash...Welcome to Plymouth...........

I always smiled at the signs changed to say Spirit of Disco. lol!

Back on to the topic of the stand and plans around the ground, what gives James Brent the idea that the retail space what will be available for rent or to buy will rent or get sold? Has he not been in our city center and seen the amount of empty shops around

Why the chuff should he defend his views to a tart like this ?

I've never quite got the holier than thou attitude of the lefty pseudo intellectual wanker, as if a right wing nutter was any worse than a left wing nutter.

you still here?

No he shouldn't have to defend his views at all, but we all know he's a feckin bellend now and can adjust our responses to words with one or two syllables.

It would be nice to know why he believes what he does at his age because alot of his views are based on lies. Like Sharia law in Rochdale lol

Talk of listing the Grandstand to attempt to block any development will be met with a big dollop of laughter !!

Will this be the same as the City Council laughing at attempts and warnings of listing the Civic Centre building then ?
Your line so far, is very much like the line of all developers. How does it go again ? " we are invincible, no one can stop us". And of course, total poppycock.
Tony Campbell has been saying exactly that same thing over on the Baggo'2 recently with these latest proposals, and we all know how successful his dip into the Home Park development roundabout was. But then, he didn't have a clue either.
