No wonder that Newell was told that he didn't like wrap around bowls. naarwich Yes they did fill in the corners but they have the facilities to benefit the club not Delia Smith! |

| So, the club will be forever constrained by developments which serve no other purpose but to make James Brent money. For someone who had no interest in football at all (and probably still hasn't), and who's strung along fools like Webb and Newell, who shout the loudest when they're told to, you have to say Brent's played a blinder.
I really cannot understand why people still support him. He has completely and totally ruined the future of PAFC for short term gain - why can't people see that?
Planning is the only possibility to stop this now. From memory, I seem to recall that there used to be something about constraining a business by unnecessary development. If so, there surely has to be a case. |

Its an enormous improvement on the Ground and the surrounding areas that we have now. If we manage to pull another Multi Millionaire out of thin air in the future than even better and perhaps he or she will fund further Expansion. People keep talking about the Horseshoe and 2500 extra seats (albeit I read it as Grandstand seats anyway) but nothing to stop a future Chairman pulling completely down the Horseshoe in the future and rebuilding.
Time to let go and be thankful for being in business, being in the league, and at least for the time being having a Fat Walleted Chairman.
We all wish for more in life but when we were on the point of ceasing to exist in the very near past, theres not an Argyle Supporter alive who wouldn't have been delighted with whats happened over the last week ??
Ok I'm out on this one

Great is probably the wrong word but avoiding relegation, securing a decent manager and confirmation that 99% the Development is going ahead is not too wide of the mark.
Time to stop knocking I think. But we're only just warming up, wait until the planning stages kick off! If starting the work in September...the planning must nearly be complete. |

| With any big battle or fight in your life, you do what you can do, a little bit at a time, to the best of your ability and little by little you can turn things to your advantage. You have to remember, we are not asking Brent to saddle up his ponies and ride out of Plymouth without doing anything, we are asking that he compromises, which won't even cost him anything, is that really too much to ask? As someone's signature on pasoti says, "never underestimate the power of a large group of idiots." |

| What the feckin hell are you doing Webb? You've done the Twitter drum roll and this happened. It's laughable. It is an improvement on what is currently there - but so would getting all the free sofas from Gumtree and putting them on the empty Mayflower. This isn't what most supporters would want.
It's the same height as the Barn Park and the Lyndhurst and Devonport. That's not that grand.
I wonder if Brent buys his carriage clocks for long serving staff from Argos.
The bit on the left between the Barn Park and Mayflower is apparently the school. Why does it have to have windows that face the pitch?
I cannot believe how idiotic Webb has been here. I always semi-respected the guy - not now. |

So how much is the grant for the school worth to Brent? I heard that the Government's budget to build a new school is up to £8m. Of course, the advantage of using this particular site is that the developer already owns the land, so that figure would be reduced. Win win all round - except for the ex-owner of the site who now lose another opportunity to get a grandstand fit for purpose for a city of this size. |

| That new stand is ugly.. and I mean really ugly. The corners look like some soviet era interrogation blocks. And the sight lines... Can you imagine just being able to look out down the goal line, but off to your right or left is a towering brick wall cutting off all views of the crowd behind the goals. This whole development inside and out is a complete shambles. A disgusting piece of architecture. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Don't suppose it really matters but it might make me feel slightly better if some cnut got banned today. |

| We are unaware of any new posters posting from a proxy.
As always, new posters are looked at closely.
So far no new poster has broken any rules that we are aware of. |

| Hi All, Helen here.....,
1st post, please be gentle........!
Now i have finished getting El Pres Chris, Benito Nool, Poodle Pat and Adolf exile s.p.u.n.k.ing into their hankies, i thought i would join a real site where real freedom of speech is allowed for real people, i hope to have fun with you boys if that is ok......!
Now that the free thinking indeependant pissoti has taken a new direction up JB's tunnel (it's in the plans btw) i need to air my views here without fear of being banned......again.......!
Is it me or doesn't everyone think the new hhp plans are a crock of shyte, i can see little kids getting trampled over in that back ally in front of the noolstand (sorry shopping mall, feck, what is it...?, ) on match days, JB has really done us over, can't believe how he has got away with it, football a sport, don't make i larf.....!
Brents war cabinet must be on a good screw, as soon as elpres was rolled out you could se where this was going, only 1 way like the the path that will be chaos around HHP......!
Any girlies on here that can chat with me about make-up, shopping, players best features etc....? |
