Hey Tring.... when the book is written, and they're busy trying to ride the horse without falling out of the directors' box, they'll say they hoodwinked the banker with the 8000 thing... and all for the sake of the club.... for contingency's sake.

2 pints and there you go again . It wasn't my response to being challenged to go to the pub . That was prearranged and I had a nice time . Why is everything on here twisted ? I had a clouple of pints because I felt challenged on here ? Rubbish . Lets talk but lets talk reasonably .
I've met Frank and we exchanged views . I'm sure he has a different view of me after that meeting than he had before . I'll meet anyone on here and chat (over a couple of pints Very Happy )

Ok I'll repeat my question to you - the one I asked just prior to you heading to the Dog and Duck;

Why does Ian Newell have to wait til the club makes an official announcement before commenting on this? He's just a regular fan, isn't that what he keeps saying?

Let's be frank about it, you have never been comfortable on here, always taken sides and often take a swipe in defense of pasoti at ATD. Noticeably it's a one way thing, it's not been known for you to take the swipe in the other direction. Now, when you get a few back ATD suddenly becomes a scatter gun and that's something that pasoti isn't of course!

Read my recent posts on Pasoti Gob . No I'm not comfortable on here as I have a different view . Isn't that natural ? Again read my recent posts on PASOTI . I'm not happy . But hey ignore that .

Its very hard for me to have a reasonable considered discussion on here but I keep trying . I've already been discribed as a "Stain" by Gob and you say " its nice to see you are interested in facts AT LAST " but no one presents those facts . Putting two and two together doesn't always work as I have discovered to my shame in my personal life over 59 years . Look I come on here trying to at least have some sort of discussion but face a constant barrage of put downs . Does no one welcome an opposing view . Does ATD onmly want people to follow the company line . Lets at least speak without the ATD scatter gun approach of insults .

I'm really trying not to be offensive here. Really.

Look at some of what we know since the takeover:
  • salsa verde enforced on longstanding ST holders in the Demport without any consultation or even the courtesy of information
  • the siting of the family area in Zoo corner - although some people had already bought season tickets in the original family area
  • superfans with access all areas passes welcoming visiting dignitaries and sitting in the directors' box
  • murmurings from at least one of said superfans about the competence of at least some of the (unpaid for months, still owed back wages, cut to the bone already) staff
  • proof that the club president has broken the rules of this site
  • proof that at least one superfan has been involved in extremely unpleasant behaviour, on the internet and elsewhere, designed to quash dissent
  • serious attempts, some moderately successful, to undermine the independent Fans' Trust
  • credible rumours that PASB candidates were told not to post on here or they wouldn't win
  • the total shambles of the PASB election
  • a middle-aged woman writing a history column removed from the programme against the programme editor's wishes
  • all attempts to raise such issues with those in authority ignored or belittled
  • volunteers cleaning up the stadium and stuffing season ticket envelopes - because there weren't enough staff
  • vast amounts of money spent on the new family area, the PASB election, salsa verde flags and murals, plus a big cash injection from the new sponsorship and the telly money from Sunday - yet people are being made redundant

From where I'm sitting, there are too many links between different items on this list to ignore them.

Edited to remove embedded quotes so it's not quite such a page-filler study

Ian Newell was a regular fan . He now sits in the Directors Box by invite I assume . I have no inside info whatever you may think but obviously being a regular fan doesn't sit well with that , Things change ,

I would normally say "then answer the question then!", but in your case GG we all know where you stand and I'll stick to what I said earlier, a brown nose that claims to be an ardent Argyle fan but really you're just a fan of a website and its owners/moderators. Pasoti's No1 ducker.

Too right they do. What your reply tells me is that Newell now values his seat in the Directors Box over anything else. Actions speaking louder than words; not that we've had any words from Brent's representative on Earth since this news broke.

Ref PASB this Friday. Announcing redundancy today is not the end of the matter, its the beginning of a process that will continue for a number of weeks. Plenty of time for the PASB to get involved.
