- Chaps,
I've only able to peak in covertly tonight..... In case I've overlooked things can you just clarify two points;
1. How / who, etc posted news of this last night & why was it deleted?
2. I can't see one readily, but has there been any comment / statement from either the club or the staff?
Thanks A staff member being dismissed was mentioned here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by Damon last night. His post was edited as was my response beneath it (with my consent I might add). It remains a disgrace that such highly sensitive and ultimately confidential issues are being passed around as chigger chatter and gossip. |

| I'm not sure hat the fuss is about ? Redundancy is part of life , job security is a thing of the past whether you work for a football club or cold call pubs to sell meat |

Bleddy marvellous if fans were hearing about this before the people affected by it.
As for the lack of anything on the official site, imagine going to a meeting where you're informed you might not have a job soon and then having to go back and put out a statement.
Note to those it applies to (mostly not on here, oddly enough): there's meant to be a 'Human' in 'Human Resource Management'. It's anti-personnel management. |

| Looks to me like Napoleon's got the gig in the commercial department, on a voluntary basis of course.
You couldn't Dubai, I mean Singasow'spore, moments like this.
If they delay any announcement, it won't be long in coming.
It's what's been brewing for months and has been hinted at by the fat controller on his farm, way back.

So now the boot's on the other foot, the club conveniently forgets who supposedly saved it. Charming... nothing to do with macro economic job security ... just utterly charmless. yet the he club expects it's customers to suspend normal economic behaviour and buy a crap product, and it's representatives slag customers who decide to buy elsewhere... again, charming. |

| People. Really are being over sensitive here., do we know what job roles have gone ? What's the point in keeping people you can get by without
Why are secretary's and admin staff needed ? Write your own letters and sort your own files out.
Business is business surely ? Would you prefer we just pay people pointless money nd drift into admin again. Well played mr Brent I say. |

| For those who were able to watch Spotlight last night, did they report that the redundencies are confirmed? I didn't see it.
And, if the redundencies have been confirmed, will they all be compulsory? |

| I wonder, with the lack of any official statement, (surely JB would have realised that this news on top of the Dorchester performance would upset a lot of fans) whether the info was leaked to the BBC by one of the in-crowd?
But the official site has published 3 stories this morning- one about Fletch reading twitter for opposition team news, one about Fletch taking his kids out on bonfire night (to get over dorchester) and one about Gurrieri being a good team player. |

| Why do the club have to make a statement about this. Would you want your employer to announce it if you had lost your job. |

When I was made redundant the company I worked for put statements around the site detailing numbers and which departments (and reasons why)- this kept staff informed so yes if it were me I would have liked as much info as possible. |

| The fact is, the staff have been told about the redundancies, but none of the staff know if they are one of the individuals affected yet. That's a really poor way to treat all the staff - every one of them now has the spectre of redundancy hanging over them. I'm sure that sort of treatment will do wonders for staff morale. |
