ARGYLE NEWS
Argyle face Wimbledon who are fighting against relegation after a difficult campaign. Their chances of staying up were improved by a 1-0 win against Northampton Town last Saturday.
Lowe, they are fighting for their status in the league and we have got to respect that. They will be buzzing. We have got to make sure that we worry about what we do first and foremost, but we respect Wimbledon for what they are doing. We will put the game plan together for the lads to take it to fruition.
On-loan Newcastle United defender Kell Watts is fit for the Friday game. He will be added to the squad which was on duty at Blackpool last Saturday. Watts has missed the last couple of matches due to a hip problem which had been troubling him for a while beforehand.

Whilst on the injury front, the likes of Darnell Johnson, Callum Reilly, Shayon Harrison and Sam Walker all remain to be long term absentees for the Dons.

Does that mean that only half a dozen players have contracts for next season?
Lots of players playing for their future=good thing
Lots of players thinking they might not be here next season so why bother= bad thing
I expect a lot of the better players may already be in discussion with other clubs

From what I understand in recent seasons Argyle have always left it late to start contract renegotiations. Not sure it's a great idea in an age where players are used to moving round a lot - maybe it contributed to the end-of-season collapse that happened the last time we were in this league? Having a bunch of players with one eye on the door would explain some of the performances that occurred during that run.

I thought we had tied Mayor for a couple of years? As for the game today I think we will be too strong for them two nil to the Argyle.

Lose this and we're right back deep in the relegation dogfight. Make no mistake AFCW will be going all out to win today as they know they still have a very good chance of staying up especially with their games in hand. Our next five games are against relegation rivals Burton and Shrewsbury -who both have games in hand, leaders Hull and then promotion chasing Charlton and Oxford. So not expecting many points at all from any of these.
Still could very much go down to the final day again.

Seven games to get a point or two? Even with our shite defence we will do it. In this league we are as likely to beat league leaders as those down the bottom, relegation really isn't a worry for me now.

Not at all. Lowe has given us 6 and 5 game losing streaks already this season. Relegation worries will be eased by a win today.

Would rather play a top half team than a relegation team at this stage of the season, but reasonably confident of 3puts today. COYG

But he (like others) might also have clubs closer to his roots speaking to him. More money or a longer deal might be tempting especially if it means going "home"
I would expect/hope that Argyle are already sounding out possible summer signings, but whether they are selected by "maths" or "mates" criteria, I wouldn't know.

Brilliant conditions over the last couple weeks for recovery. Seed we put in has germinated, fertiliser doing its thing. Good luck to the lads. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

crafty goal from woods like that will be on a few Christmas dvd's of cheeky goals for sure.
We are doing ok but we need that second goal as Wimbledon have come very close too often in equalizing so we need to be on guard.
Just wake up before you go out for the second half as im sure Wimbledon will be gun ho.

good first half couldn't keep the ball to save our lives in the second but we won and kept a clean sheet and with that we can now pretty much be certain we will be in league 1 next season

Resilient relegation team with shit finishing in front of goal, just as well, still just about safe, oh forgot we are in a relegation scrap.
