A good idea that, surely there would be a decent manager to be found in Europe who would like to take charge of a L1 or L2 side, make a name for himself in English football and all that. I am hoping Argyle get someone in before the end of May or early June at the latest, as that person will have a great deal of work to do. |

Just asked sky for odds on Jason Bent, will see what they offer, if anything, Cause then that you could pretty much get odds on anyone . |

By referring to 'austerity twins I take it you are talking about SH?'. As much as the terms of the money lend were far from ideal I do see him as a vast step up from Bent, yes I would have preferred a cantilever roof with a 7,000 capacity bringing the stadium up to around 20-21000 but it seem Bents mankover brainchild has superceded that for reasons that will probably (for now) only be known to SH and JB. So thats where we are at and as good as it gets it seems as much as it pisses me off. And talking about Hallett at least he came up with the bunce to pay off a 5 year contract of a manager who had lost the dressing room whom I might add was given by yours and truly Bent. Hallett may hardly be ideal but some off the stick he takes on here is over the top imho. Save the venom for the real bad guys. |

| SH still did feck all in the January window Punchy, yes agree we all know about the real bad guys, sadly as you say this is probably as good as it gets, despite excellent home and away support. Perhaps one day we will get the successful Argyle we all long for. |

| Well SH will have the opportunity next season whichever league Argyle are in to show support to the new manger, clearly the pre season needs to improve, the players will probably have better facilities it just needs someone to provide an overall structure for success e.g the board. |

Surprised he gave Adams the bullet cause I didn't think he would want to upset brent to try keep him sweet get that 30% on the cheap, Realise that SH never got where he did without upsetting people. But at the same time he's put 6 Million up which has helped boost price of the Brents shares, What did Brent ever put in. |

| Graham Coughlan has spoken for the first time about being named as one of the leading contenders for the managerial vacancy at Plymouth Argyle.
The Bristol Rovers boss, and former Pilgrims' defender, was joint 6/4 favourite for the role with bookmakers Bet Victor this morning, along with Ian Holloway.
The 44-year-old was also the second favourite with Sky Bet at odds of 11/8, behind Holloway, who was priced at 5/4.
Coughlan has led Rovers to League One safety this season after taking over from Darrell Clarke in December, initially in a caretaker capacity.
He was later given a two-year contract by Rovers and has impressed everyone at the club with the way he has gone about his work.
Rovers are 16th in the table, four points above the relegation zone, going into their final game of the season, against promoted Barnsley at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
Coughlan said today: "Whatever's been going on at this football club over the last four months has been different class.
"Our ground staff has got pitch of the year in League One, there seems to be a lot of academy players coming through into the under-23s and we've stayed up keeping 18 clean sheets, 51 points from a near impossible situation.
"So there's a lot of good things and when good things happen at this football club, when things like that, you do get noticed.
"And it's nice, let me be straight and be honest, it's nice of people to acknowledge that and see that, and it's nice to hear some nice things being said about yourself.
"Let's not forget, it's not a new story, it's a story that surfaced in 2010 when I was invited back to the coaching staff at Plymouth, and it was a story that surfaced in 2015 when I was linked with the job.
"It's not something I'll lose too much sleep over, I'm concentrating on the group of players here, the football club and concentrating on Saturday."
Coughlan added: "Please don't make it a bigger issue than it needs to be, I ain't going to pour my heart out, I'm here to do a job.
"I just hope we concentrate the next 48 hours on the players, on the football club, on the mini achievements, on the ground staff, on the academy staff and everybody that has worked their socks off from top to bottom at this football club to preserve our League One status."
"I just hope that's what this weekend is about." |

| Ian Holloway has been humbled by the many messages he has been receiving from appreciative Plymouth Argyle fans.
The former Pilgrims' boss is one of the bookmakers' favourites for the managerial vacancy at Home Park, along with Bristol Rovers' chief Graham Coughlan.
Holloway did not want to comment on that subject when contacted by Plymouth Live.
However, the 56-year-old wanted to express his gratitude to the members of the Green Army who have been in touch with him through social media
Many supporters still recall fondly the quality of football that Argyle played under Holloway during his time as manager before he quit to take over at Leicester City in 2007.
Holloway said: "I have had some lovely messages on my Instagram from Argyle fans. It's really nice of them.
"It all ended so horribly when I left and I have said on a huge radio station (TalkSPORT) how sorry I was, so you live and learn don't you?"
Following a post on his Instagram account, Holloway was inundated with messages while he and his family watched Liverpool's UEFA Champions' League semi-final first leg against Barcelona on TV.
Holloway said: "It was very flattering and very humbling. I was very pleased to receive such a wonderful response to me sending a little message back.
"I can't message everyone because literally there were so many messages coming through all at once. It was quite mindblowing.
"The nature of them made me feel very, very happy."
He added: "I was blown away with it. My wife, my son, we were trying to watch the football and it just took over really. It was lovely so I greatly appreciated that."
We really do have some thick janners supporting the club. |

Saving everyone the click Krisztian Timar has admitted it would be a 'dream come true' to become the Pilgrims' next manager. The 39-year-old, who is currently the second team coach of Hungarian champions MOL Vidi, has applied for the current vacancy at Home Park. Timar, who was capped four times by Hungary at senior international level, is due to take his UEFA A Licence coaching course in August. Argyle are seeking a new manager after the departure of Derek Adams on Sunday. Adams was relieved of his duties with immediate effect after the Pilgrims' 5-1 drubbing at Accrington Stanley, which saw them slide into the League One relegation zone. Timar was Argyle's player of the year for the 2007/08 Championship campaign and, overall, made a total of 91 appearances for the club between 2007 and 2011. He is priced at 14/1 by bookmakers Sky Bet to become the next Argyle manager, the same odds as Cardiff City's former Pilgrims' boss Neil Warnock. Timar said in a social media post: "My dream come true if I could be a manager for Argyle and lead them back to The Championship." |
