| The German police have arrested six Russian hooligans (one did a runner) after they attacked three Spanish people in Cologne - two males and one female.
The thugs, all in their 20s, were on the way back to Moscow, poolice said that they had tickets to the England v Russia fixture.
German police will contact the French police to see if they were involved in the trouble in Marseille.
Violence which has marred Euro 2016 spread from France to Germany when Russian hooligans set upon Spanish tourists outside Cologne Cathedral.
Seven Russians were reported to have been involved in the assault on three Spaniards – two men and one woman. One of the male victims suffered a broken nose.
According to the German media the attackers wearing gloves and balaclavas set upon the tourists at about 7 pm on Thursday night.

There is a lot of chatter doing the rounds about the Russian thugs. Many are saying that the Russians are a cowardly bunch for attacking non-violent English fans in Marseille.
I guessed there would be hundreds of English fans who wanted revenge. Apparently, the Russian arranged a meet with the English fans on Thursday. Funny that not too many Russians turned up (not that many have been booted out by France. There must be some who are still in France and lying low for the time being). Russia V Wales could be a possible flash point ?.
The French police are to open attempted murder charges after what happened last Saturday (11th).

As i can gather, there are major problems in Croatian football, there have been numerous allegations of mass corruption. The thugs are trying to get Croatia a bad name in world football due to the above. |

As i have read, there are major problems in Croatian football, there have been numerous allegations of mass corruption. The thugs are trying to get Croatia a bad name in world football due to the above. What may have looked like a mindless act from a section of supporters was in fact a planned protest against the Croatia Football Federation.
But rather than this incident being a mindless act from supporters, it was in fact a staged protest against the Croatian Football Federation and, in particular, Zdravko Mamic, former chief executive of Dinamo Zagreb.
Croatian fans are embroiled in a long-standing battle with Mamic, who was arrested last November due to transfer irregularities at Dinamo.
Mamic has been accused of embezzling 118 million kunas (£11.1m) of Dinamo’s money since 2008, while he and his brother Zoran were also arrested last July after they were accused of avoiding tax payments related to Luka Modric’s move from Dinamo to Tottenham in 2008 and Dejan Lovren’s transfer to Lyon in 2010.
Mamic resigned as Dinamo’s chief executive in February but remains a key figure at the club in an advisory role and has been regularly described as the alleged 'Puppet Master' of the Croatian Football Federation.
Croatia supporters are also unhappy with the way their own domestic league is run, with match-fixing such a problem that Davor Suker, current president of the Croatian Football Federation, was forced to deny any involvement. |

| My son is just back from Paris having watched Germany v Poland and ?? He was in the fans area? with about another 50K English, Wales and others for the England v Wales match on big screen. He said the atmosphere was fantastic, friendly with the only down side was the beer that was 0.5% abv. During the game about 30 Russians walked down the centre aisle (friendly Russians!) and were met with both England and Wales fans singing ''we're Wales and England''. They then sang to the Germans ''10 german bombers ..... etc'' which went down pretty well. How different from the other end of France. |

| I'm still out here, the atmosphere has been top notch. Favourite chant so far was a load of Irish (ironically) singing to a load of Swedes...."you're shit, but your birds are fit, you're shit..." etc etc

| http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36570929 The England bashers won't like this but three more football federations charged over their fans behaviour, at this rate our fans could win an award for best behaved. |
