| Russia seems to feature with increasing frequency these days.
I have to say their defence of the two guys accused of the novichok attack on Skripal as tourists who just wanted to see the cathedral has me utterly convinced.
It's their detailed knowledge of the height of the cathedral spire that clinches it. 123m. Who could possibly argue with that sort of detail? |

| They have been briefed by agent Ivan Noolski, nothing to see here, move along please. The really sad thing in this is the only one to die was an innocent woman who sprayed novochok on herself after her boyfriend gave her a part used bottle of perfume he found by the side of the road. Sad on so many levels. Anyway those guys are as guilty as Guilty Mc Guilt Face. |

| The whole affair is frankly unbelievable.
From the Russian Govt being immediately accused, to this comedy reaction from these two guys.
A military/secret service hit, just wouldn't be this clumsy. |

I liked the fact that they were so desperate to take in the sights, they didn't let the snow deter them and they actually returned a couple of days later. I think Jeremy Corbyn will be very satisfied that these poor fellows had nothing to do with the posionings. |

A military/secret service hit, just wouldn't be this clumsy. That only applies if they wanted it to be secret and a complete mystery. If they wanted to send out a warning to other defectors past, present or future then this is exactly how to go about it. For starters there's hundreds of ways of bumping someone off so why use a nerve agent? Surely it can only be for the publicity it would provoke? |
