Don't celebrate too soon guys. Hallet has given Brent money for his share in the club and paid off the FC debt, so that sum is now owed to Hallet rather than to the FC creditors. Despite the misleading wording of the statement, no debts have been cancelled, and no money has been put into the football club

It was on Spotlight that Sir Simon of Sainthood is pumping a million pounds into Argyle. Missed the actual piece due to door being knocked by a Mormon. It's a funny old life.

Without a doubt, like I said earlier we will soon know the lie of the land by signings, contracts happening or not.
I wonder whether there will be a power struggle or whether this is Jims exit strategy? More likely still flogging the dead horse of the stadium.

It really shouldn't surprise anyone there's no investment in the playing side.

Didn't Brent borrow money from the Council to pay off the FC debts?

So now the council are feeling as if they've been conned (they have) and there's even more debt attached to the club.

Either someone needs to bite the bullet and actually pay off these debts (without wanting their money back in the future) or the Administrators will be back.

People are talking about seven figure sums of money coming to "the club" where the reality is that some individuals are filling their pockets while the debts keep increasing.

Looks like history repeating itself to me.

So with Wrathall, council money and now this how much is that Brent has received in 12 months?

And how much has he taken out .....

The Akkeron website (complete with lovely pic of Oldway Mansion) describes the company as a development and investment company. Have they ever actually completed anything - even the website has been under development for the last couple of years.

If the transparency, integrity or whatever it was, promised at the start of Mr Brent's tenure was fact rather than fiction, there would be no need to speculate.

So the club is still in debt to the tune of £1.2 million despite using Simon's money to simply pay off some other debt.

His share holding values the club at £1.7 million. Would a sound business worth that much hold that much debt.

Looks like to me the decision and deal to buy the freehold has been agreed and fixed at least in Brent's and Hallet's mind. You couldn't go through due diligence, surely, without that issue cropping up.

Perhaps the Herald could ask.

That debt would look a lot more reasonable secured against greater Home Park.

Your link doesn't work GG. So is the clusterfuck still on? If so shorely there are enough fans who have smelt the coffee and will kick up a proper fuss about it. The mini stand needs to be bigger as the playoff against Pompey will prove and the school and dentist needs to be fecked off. The Nandoes and shop revenue needs to go to the club delivering the £1m income ala chiefs model (yeh I know it's bullshit but the revenue does need diverting).
I expect the Trust will be all over this if they have finished arranging the five a side match against Pompey?

Get your unsecured debt secured against the freehold?

So if it all goes tit's up again (due to your financial mismanagement) you won't lose out

They're reading the script written by Todd Synan & Co.--even got the overseas investor who has someone else looking after his interests
