| Whois going to be on it, I nominate Freathy! From what I gather on here and my own short and sweet PASOTI days which were only too brief, joe Noolin doesn't do democratic and consensual and I can't see him lower himself to begging for votes when his place up Brent's arse is already safe. Ditto Webbston. I'd like Andy symons, Richard blight, John Lloyd, Peter ryan and warren Bowden on board off the top of my head. |

| Dane Bunney for me. The most trustworthy person I've come across with regard to being an Argyle fan, and having the club's best interests at heart. |

| I'm pretty sure IJN's on record as saying he'd run for this sort of thing, he'll probably get there too. |

Excellent choices - I was thinking of contacting John Lloyd to encourage him to stand. I'd also add jan walaskowski to the list: he's not much of an internet person, but would have a lot to offer. |

| I would very much hope that JL does stand or we really do risk having a freak show if Newell finds the bottle to stand! |

he has, many times. That hasn't stopped him from backtracking when the cap fits though. I see he's backing Sparksy as a potential despite what he's said about Sparks in the past, just like the way he now describes Peter Jones. You really couldn't make it up! |

| If he is to stand, he'd have to justify himself to the great unwashed when he's too important to have to lower himself to that. To not win a seat would be a humiliation. He's up to something and know that we know he's up to something, which he is fine by him. |

| Here's what he said 01/12/2011 - Quote :
- I'd stand for election for the Supervisory Board Woz, but I'd never stand for the Trust.
It all fits with stepping down from other duties without too much fuss and reverting his real name back to a pseudonym (ok, his initials). [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| If he did stand who would be qualified to vote for him, Pasoti users? |

| I bet Brent didn't consider the unfair advantages that can be gained in such circumstances, not that I'm against Sparks, but it would only be right if everyone had an equal footing.
Considering that an owner of Pasoti and has influence on Pasoti is now promoting his own choice, this could be interesting. |

| It's ironic that the GAS board will be made up of seven members.
A new M(agnificent?) Seven?
Here's my pre poll guesses:
Trust - Trust Chairman Supporters branches - Lee J? GT's - IJN? Fanbase Four - Anyones guess!
Are ST holders counted in with the supporters branches or the Fanbase Four?
Whilst I'm pleased about fan representation, I feel that a real opportunity to secure the clubs future by implementing the German model (fully), and sending out a message to the rest of the British clubs has been missed. It could still be done, though I expect greed will prevent it.

| I would also like to add I've nothing against Sparksy. It just grinds my gears he has already got a bunch of votes when nobody has a clue who's standing. |

| The GAS Board proposal as it stands is just that... I think feedback on the idea and structure is welcomed, and I would guess a final decision would be made within a month or so so that elections could be run this season. It's a proposal from the club.
If the proposal goes ahead as is, I would expect that group to work quite closely with the Trust and GTs anyway. Indeed all four fan reps *might* be Trust members (many of the good names mentioned above are). I agree the Trust rep should be the Trust chair.
Again it's only my understanding as details are sketchy, but the Trust would run the election with the club paying costs, and the election would happen on a match day. It wouldn't be a postal vote like the one the Trust is currently running.

| Tim, what I'm struggling to understand is that if those standing are Trust members, why not not allow just the Trust to represent them and everyone, why do we need this set up? |

I think you already know the likely reason GOB. |

| If he's putting Sparksys name up it means he wont be standing and he isn't taking it very seriously.

I think that's one of the points that Peter Ryan made at the meeting, and others have made elsewhere. I have a feeling that once the GAS Board draws up all the rules it'll need to operate under, they'll have a bunch of rules not that different to the Trust ones. But it's early days, we'll see how it pans out. And the Trust's objectives cover much more than the brief the GAS Board will have. I assume Brent/the club want to ensure that all fans are represented, be they supporters of the Trust or not. So it may be that 4 or 5 of the 7 are not Trust members. I just think personally it's likely that the majority of the 7 will be. The interesting question for me as a current and potential future board member is why people have anti-Trust feelings. If membership is to grow, the new board will need to talk to those people and see if those concerns can be worked out. |

| Yes Peggy Jan & John would be excellent choices/nominees. In fact leading members of already established & properly elected bodies should be the ONLY real candidates.......
On the down side - I fear it could all turn into a 'promotion' of self competition - im a bigger fan than you etc, where were you at Scarborough in 99 ! etc etc. |

| If as already projected over yonder the vote is only open to season ticket holders and POTD fans, a lot of trust members will be left out. _______________________________________ COYG!
