His odds would have been slashed for a reason though. Either info leaked from the club/being seen at the club. Or a raft of bets (or a singular large bet)being taken in him.
The only stumbling block would be salary.

His age and arrogance would be a stumbling block too plus will Brent give him a blank cheque book every transfer window while paying the wages of a large squad.. Do we even want Paddy Kenny here? does he even know anything about this league as the game has move on alot since 1996.
If he got the job i would give him 6 months before he either walks or is fired due to clashes with Brent. They are not two individuals that will get on in the long term.

I can't see Warnock having the hunger or desire for a full time management job in League 2. Part time mentor/DOF gig yes but I can't see Brent pushing the boat out financially in order for a novice manager to have someone hold his hand. It will either be a course and distance appointment or a gamble on a novice with potential on his own, sink or swim job.
