The mods should do what their majority decides to do. You don't need a poll for that Iggy.

I can tell you Gob that the mods feel stuck in the middle, I know I talk for POI as well as myself. It's simple do we ignore the bickering and tell people to man up or do we enforce the rules? We're not bothered either way, just like to know that's all.

What do the majority of the mods think they should do Iggy?

I would rather have a peaceful solution without having to resort to banning people. Sadly I don't think that is going to happen. Hairy doesn't get under my skin as much as he does other people. I recognise that at times he makes valid points about some of the contradictions of ATD, but he then ruins it by trolling for a reaction when people disagree with him.

At the same time I am disappointed that people continue to react to his trolling. If we ignored him then hopefully he would stop, but at the moment we are in a vicious cycle and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel.

Let’s get a few facts here.

You’re not a mod because you didn’t get enough votes in the election.

After some Mods left you were next in line but it was decided not to make you up in the interest of the site.

Frank joined us after a vote in the mod room.

Mr Webb was banned for breaking the rules. Maybe we were a bit hard line at the time but the decision was made due to the facts available.

Yes he has no right of reply but he forfeited that right for the reason above.

Talking of right of reply, what right of reply was you given or anyone else when they were banned from pasoti?

This thread was not abusive it was taking the piss but it has been hijacked into something completely different.

As Mods we all have PMs to do with Hairy.

Well I have had enough of Hairy’s crap. I have tried to help him, I have asked him to cool it and bollocked him in the past.

I can't see any reason whatsoever for anyone to be banned now. But if the posters involved aren't fully aware of the strength of feeling & therefore the expectation that they should modify what they post then the mods will have to make their decision in future. I suppose the sorts of warnings that normally are made via PM have now been made publicly. There is an escalating protocol for warnings, suspensions & bannings.

Could I just point out that Hairy hasn't been banned yet either, we don't want to be heavy handed but we don't want to be wasting our time with all this shit either. I feel responsible in part for reacting to Hairy and I should know better but in my defence I shouldn't be walking on eggshells in case I set somebody off on one either. I can dish it out but I can take some back as well, chilling out needed as has been mentioned but this shit has to stop.

I have been following this thread for a while now and to be honest it makes my blood boil. I have never read so much fecking rubbish in all of my life written by so many people who really can't see the wood for the trees. I will say from the outset that hairy can be a bit of a dick at times but so can quite a few of you also. I don't always agree with what he posts either but then again I don't agree with a number of you either.

I have never seen so many people deliberately miss a point as the Mods on here. Yes all of you but some more than others. When hairy was warned previously he was told he should ignore some people. Rickler being one of them but what you failed to do was act in an even handed way and warn Rickler also to put hairy on ignore. The consequence was he ignored Rickler but Rickler continued to probe and poke at him at every opportunity. You Mods did absolutely nothing despite all of this crap I read on here now that picking at people is not acceptable. Rickler posted that he wished hairy dead. Not a squeak from anyone, not a warning, not a removal of an offensive post nothing at all doing or done. Hairy posts the exact same thing in reverse at all hell breaks lose. The thread is removed and hairy becomes the devil incarnate. Please explain to me why that is? Why are you Mods scared shitless of Rickler? I mean I know he is a complete weirdo and probably has dosiers on you all but why the inaction in his case. Before anyone cries "Oh dear daddy is whinging" have a look back over recent times and tell me none of the above is true.

The reaction of some of you Mods is priceless. Iggy once again, along with the rest now it seems, telling a poster to feck off somewhere else whilst pretending not to understand why that poster had a gripe. A 2 year old with a brain deficiency could have seen at a glance what the gripe was yet Iggy pretends he doesn't know. Even when told by PM in a straight fashion as I believe he was he still carries on with his pretend ignorance. POI joins in with the everything is Hairy's fault even though the inconsistency has been pointed out. And now it seems Mouldy does the same with no condemnation of Rickler at all. I am surprised at you Mouldy and I thought better of you. Iggy I would expect it of but not you. It takes two to tango and it seems despite the evidence that is on here for all to see the blame is attached to one person only and the other one gets off once again scot free. There are plenty who provoke. Tring did it to me many times. Iggy responded with a feck off post many times and he's a Mod. Czarcasm does it if somebody doesn't slag off the Argyle heirachy. It seems to me that all you want is your cosy little group who all sing the same song at the same time and you don't want anyone else. This site has become a bore which is why I unsigned previously. I asked a perfectly valid question Seadog which so far has received no answer at all from the Mods despite some of them having been on here to be able to respond.    Iggy was logged in when I posted the question but seemed to run off somewhere conveniently just after.    Yea Man made a statement which there is no proof actually happened as it was allegedly in secret.    Seems nobody else is available to comment........(learned that from listening to the Beeb radio).

As if on cue whilst responding to you Seadog there is a sort of answer. You completely miss the point Mouldy as your colleagues have done throughout. Punishment is fine where punishment is warranted and I have no problem with that. Indeed bannishment might be appropriate in this case. What you fail to answer is why hairy is lambasted in public and blamed for everything yet Rickler, who has done just as much, does not even get a mention. Why is that exactly? Why wasn't he condemned for his death post? He did it first and it wasn't even commented on is one example.
