PostSubject: Re: Nigel Farage   Nigel Farage - Page 4 EmptyFri May 02, 2014 11:14 am

I can't remember the last time I voted for anyone - certainly any of the main parties.

feck all changes, who ever get's into power. It's the same old BS roundabout every election time. Promises, promises, promises, pre election. feck you, peasants, post election.

In my pre-emption of the impending Ukraninan/Nato and Rusky showdown, I'm off to join my fellow doomesday preppers on Dartmoor.

PS: I now have enough Corned beef for two years.

It appears that the anti UKIP smear campaign has been stopped dead in its tracks since disclosure of racism issues in the Labour, Conservative and Liberal party's and it seems to be getting worse with stories this morning of the Labour Party hiding members of a paedophile ring!

Oh dear!

I have stated before that I don't believe that UKIP are the answer I would vote for none of them, I was examining the reasons why they are seen as an attractive alternative to the NewLabour/Tory.

A YouGov opinion poll has Nigel Farage’s party three points ahead of Labour on 31per cent, with the Tories trailing on 19per cent.

Smear campaigns do not work!

The crucial difference between the allegations against some politicians & those against UKIP candidates are that the former is attributable to individual misjudgement or criminality. Many of the allegations laid at the door of UKIP are straightforwardly attributable to the xenophobia - or worse - embedded in their policies. Inevitably they will attract the fruitcakes & the racists.

I certainly am no apologist for Lab, Con or Dem but there are boundaries and, in my view, UKIP has crossed those boundaries.

If there was to be a referendum I would vote to stay in Europe. I will, however, be voting for UKIP in the upcoming election just for the extreme satisfaction of kicking the established parties firmly up the arse and watching them all running around in a blind panic afterwards. Lets be honest it doesn't matter two farts who our MEP's are, the executive makes all the decisions. If their minds are concentrated by various bolshie factions within the parliament, so much the better.

The General Election is another matter though, I shall probably vote for Mebyon Kernow again (true)  Very Happy

This article isn't about UKIP at all. It does rage against elements of the Old Boys network though and is worth a read.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

It's also interesting to consider quite how lefty this seems. As does much of Toynbee's writing and many of her idea.

And then remember that she was a leading light during the formation of the SDP.

It's astonishing how far to the right the centre ground of UK politics has shifted since the '80s as evidenced by a person who was once avowedly centrist and who is now seen as a loony lefty by many.

It is also worth mentioning that many of those that say they condemn racism are happy to publicise UKIP''s dark side yet conveniently choose to ignore and forget that the Tories and Labour have an even darker side. On lookers would be forgiven for believing that these people do not give a hoot about racism and are using the racism card only to deflect the debate.

We await the Top ten reasons for voting New Labour/Tory/Dem written by UKIP in the interests of balanced reporting.  Very Happy
I haven't seen such a smear campaign by the powers that be added and abetted by our free press (feckin hilarious that one is) since I don't know when. They've certainly got a few people worried, you don't think it's because the European gravy train might be derailed do you?

Actually I haven't seen such a smear campaign since the government started calling anybody who accesses the welfare state scroungers. Pot, kettle, black.

Then start a thread entitled Ed Milliband/David Cameron/Nick Clegg and put the reasons up yourself.

Question Time BBC just finished....they couldn't undermine Farage and his views, They are scared stiff of UKIP and haven't got a worthwhile thing to say about anything.....lets get out of Europe as soon as possible....we are being sucked dry by Eurocrats and their gravy train.

Apathy mate, the difference between you and me is that you think that you can make a difference, I know that you can't. (Plagarised from Bob Dylan talking to Joan Byez.)

If you vote UKIP this is (part of) what you'll be voting for.

Does this count as a slur?

It is if you are insinuating that it is UKIP policy.

I have to say though that much of that I agree with, the NHS is considerably over managed thanks to Labour. There is virtually nil competition that propagates the 'any old crap will do' attitude. However, privatisation is a massive NO NO for me.

There are two fundamental things that need to be improved regarding the NHS, the over management and the cartels that supply the NHS that are not state owned and are mainly, European companies!

Talking of slurring, I am close to making the decision of Labour or UKIP and unless something changes dramatically I will probably go for UKIP. My reasoning is that Labour offer nothing to preserve employment law and I see Labour as adopting Conservative values. Labour needed to slur because they offer nothing. I will not pretend to agree with everything UKIP because I don't, but I despise everything that Labour has done to undermine democracy and I would hate to see a party gain votes with the use of fascist tactics combined with Conservative values.

Kinnock and Blair, two good old working class buys come good....multi millionaires even!

If I was going to vote for Labour than I just as well vote for the Tories. I have serious concerns about voting UKIP but what the hell, they can't be any worse.

What does UKIP offer, GOB? And where do you get that from?

If your angst is so great, go in & spoil the paper. That's a good way of expressing dissatisfaction.

Zackly Gob I also like the way that people are waiting to find out what the policies are so that they can get outraged, chicken or egg? What came first UKIP or the outrage about it? Not sure on that one.

But UKIP doesn't have policies. They don't have a manifesto. All of their pronouncement are knee-jerk reactions, essentially based on an anti-EU agenda. And you can't base any form of government on that.
