Looking forward to my first trip to the Pirelli. Got a ticket for the terrace behind the goal. 3 points tomorrow would be great to take pressure off when going to Newport on Tuesday. 7points from the next 3 games should see us remain in the play off mix.

Burton tend to play 4-4-2 so with the right attitude 3-5-2 could work well against them if the central midfield trio are in the right form to control the game. Hemmings on Burton's wing could tear us a new one though, I was a big fan of his when we had him on loan. Hopefully our new loanee can make a good start. His time at Torquay should have boost his fitness, just as we boost Hayes' for Swindon and Scunny to benefit from.

I would be amazed if we didn't lose tomorrow. I'm not a grumpy ATDer and always have hope but tomorrow just feels like our season is about to fizzle out. I hope you have a good day though but I have a sneaky feeling the only triumph tomorrow will be, 'wow, we took 400 people to Burton, best fans, blah blah'.

Also, you have to do a pun in the title - like "something, something gone for a Burton" or "Brewers Droop"

I'd leave happy with a draw tomorrow. Hopefully it's not a drab nil nil, Burton seem to set up to nick games 1 nil.

Yes, you are, You might as well admit it, you'll feel a whole lot better.
It's not a crime to have a carp. It doesn't mean you're weird or a depressive loser, it's even traditional for many. It just means you have abrain of your own.
Contrary to popular belief, none of it will change how the team do.
All the faux optimism is pointless and not good for self esteem. Just pop off to your games, shout and cheer, and enjoy the sun/rain, the smell of the grass and the make up. That's what you're really paying for, that and the family/friend man thing.
When a good team arrives in the home changing room, you'll know it. I've been known to be celebrating promotion by Christmas. It's called REALity. Be taken seriously for once, and admit your nature. Objectivity means prizes.

See - Pete's been practising being grumpy for years & he's got it off to perfection.   

I was never any good at grumpy, me. The happiest of souls swanning through life on a breeze.  

I wonder if Spolly and Punchy will renew their acquaintance up at Burton.

I'm not keen on the nickname Spolly. And while the mods are editing, could they perhaps move the non Argyle related threads to the non Argyle related section then?

Big Enoch's straight into the team and Purrington is back.

Looks like we're going direct for the run-in.

Which is odd. We started the season very direct, went all tippy tappy, then started pumping the channels and now we're back to direct again.

On top of all sorts of 5-3-2, 3-5-2, 4-4-2, 4-1-3-1-1 formations we have never really settled into a single style of play this season.

7 games to go, we need at least 4 wins and even 5 might not be enough.

Let's hope the latest plan works because defeat for us today will make a play-off spot nearly impossible.
