Nice to see that summer is nearly here.....bringing with it flaming June.

For instance....last Saturday......rained on and off all day and felt cold.

Sunday definately colder and more steady rain.

Bank Holiday Monday.......rain followed by more rain and cold.

Today Tuesday......raining heavier non-stop.... and colder still.

The pond on the lawn has developed (haven't got a pond) to nearly the size it was in Jan/Feb time.

The garden table and chairs are looking very redundant at present.....you would find it hard to believe I sat out there in my shorts in March/April soaking up the sun.

Who named June flaming.....three more days before flaming June, can't wait for it to start.

It was quite warm in Berkshire on Sunday. The wife and kids went swimming in an outside pool at Cookham.
I wasn't so brave. I sat in a deckchair and read a book with my coat on.

Continuation of.....Summer is nearly here.

Wednesday....still raining....pond on lawn starting to develop it's own invironment....but haven't seen any ducks as yet taking up residency.

Mrs Zyph and I had planned a day down Brighton....meeting up with a friend to walk along the front to Hove and back...and a possible meal in the Marina afterwards.....one phone call later....trip posponed until next week.

During the the winter deluge I had jockingly planned to build my own Ark,.....if I could get planning permission from Noah of course....beginning to think I should look-out those plans again.

There must be some desperate parents around here at present wandering what to do with there youngsters during half-term.

I put all the things that I need in the van all the time, back in the van after they all migrated into the house.

I see Rapsons Guz Forum was about as much of a success as Cerbera's.

Bought a new bag on Wednesday (hand/work, black, shoulder, leather, if you must know). Took it back today. Brought it home again once they'd taken the security tag off. It didn't set the thing off when I left the shop with it, but it did when I took it back in.

PS Iggy: not picked a tomato yet (bit of a setback when I potted them on and put them outside). Won't be long, though - the baby ones are just appearing. Bless.

I've got tiny sungold toms just set, one of my favourites they are. Nursing a huge hangover didn't get to bed until past 3am because I was dancing to music in between drinking and cavorting and eating spit roast lamb, great party.
