Took my old mum to an appointment at Derriford this morning. As a result, I've formed the strong opinion that there is no need for any able-bodied person (apart from those collecting or dropping off people who are disabled, ill, getting over surgery or in labour) to park at the hospital itself - they could all do it by bus and/or park and ride. But then of course the hospital car parks wouldn't be such a money-spinner.

In other news, it was too rainy, cold and windy to run off some energy in the playground after school today. We went to the library instead.

He's on at the university, as part of the Book Festival - have a look on their website, but be warned it might be sold out; if I'd known I'd have tipped you off when I spotted it Sad

"Can you put the duvet cover on please?" Just a few little words which make me think it might be easier to get a divorce.

I'm not the only person off of here going, so if you're on your own you won't have to be on your own. Innit.

Within the last year, I've given comprehensive marching orders to somebody who announced (not asked, not offered, just announced) that he was going to redecorate my gaff. MY gaff.

Even the small people only get to stay a certain amount of time (and there's a limit on how many pink shiny things, pairs of slippers and musical toothbrushes they can keep here too). My territory, innit.

Thanks Peggy, if only it were that simple, we already have an evening out planned, compromises wil have to be made, but I know where I want to go. I may see you there.

I tend to find with children that if you just lock them in the shed your house remains pretty clean.

Ah. Something I forgot to report during half term. The five year old has proven herself very adept with the vacuum cleaner - and very thorough. And no, I didn't even ask her to do it.

Dyson should use this in their advertising. Something like 'Dyson. Kids think it's a robot and will do your cleaning for you while playing with it.'

There you go ..... proof that cleaning the house is gender related. Why fight what is in the genes?

Not in my genes, it's not. Besides, playing with robots is more of a boy thing, isn't it?

Anyway, despite the attempts to wind me up (reminiscent of pig and some of his REAL mates, as I recall), I'm not biting. Off out in a bit, innit.
