Is it the weather that the wallpaper I have put up is taking as long as the paint to dry?

Had some Sainsbury's sushi which isn't brilliant but is a far better snack than the Haribo's and wine gums I usually devour.

Unfortunately the wasabi paste comes in a sachet which I tore open with my teeth and most of the paste squirted into my mouth affraid

It always takes longer to dry if you watch it.....that's a fact.

Once again they gave us dinner at work. Therefore once again I'm way down on my five a day.

I suppose I could just take a packed lunch like every other day, but that would mean turning down a freebie (and actually a very nice freebie - just short on veg.)

I wanted a home-made scotch egg at The Rising Sun but they had sold out. I was forced to settle for chips. They were home-made not frozen.

I had some chips at the Riser recently, it was served to me by a woman who had her eyebrows tattooed onto her face, I am surprised she didn't have a fag tattooed on the side of her mouth as well.

What's the correct response to "how's tricks"? I went with, "yeah, not too bad".

1. Where were the eyebrows tattooed on her face? I hope they were under her nose.

2 "How's tricks?" "As good as they ever are."

I think it depends on who's asking, and who they're asking. For instance, if you asked the five year old, she'd probably put on a little show, with a running commentary explaining in great detail how she does the magic.

Indeed. Conversely, if you were to ask the same question to a young lady stood on a street corner in Millbay Rd, you're likely to get a different response.

I was going to say something about my own response, but didn't want to revive the tradition (in some quarters, natch) of calling me a whore.

Bad weather on the way, apparently. I wonder if the window on the landing will be mended in time.

Have the rare treat of a Tavvy hospital appointment instead of a poverty inducing trip to Derriford.

Had to go to Plymstock to pick up a parcel today.

As I've got a bus pass, I decided not to come home from work and then drive over there, but simply to get the bus. The bus back into town terminated on the viaduct, so I got off and walked the short distance to the stop for the bus home. Shortly after I got there, the bus I'd just got off, which was being driven by the same bus driver, turned up, transformed into my bus home. The driver and I exchanged what I like to think was a friendly nod.
