I'm sure his council ain't wasting the tax payers money in other ways that could be put to good use sorting the bleddy potholes out, surely? Time to privatise the services councils provide, the way these fat cat councils are run which is mainly for the benefit of those that work there is a national disgrace! there are millions of pounds waiting to be saved by getting rid of the layers of penpushers who's only function is to produce more red tape and cruise through their seven hour day! get the private sector to run council service's which will be run better and cheaper without the dead hand of the local goverment wanting more and more tax payers cash to fund layer upon layer of form filling nonsence. Vote Tory. |

| Not quite true there suffered. Some of us generate a fair amount of income and also push through projects and service change to save hundreds of thousands of pounds - without bonuses; and bonhses aren't asked for. The worst examples of wastage are in the NHS and an awful lot of the NHS is semi-private.
I'll keep out of that discussion though as it's too close to home.
One thing I'd genuinely like to see though, as a voter, is an end to national party politics in local politics. |

| Since when have councils filled in pot holes......the job has been contracted out to private firms in NW Kent for years.....no standard system for fencing off road repairs seems to exist....never find two workings the same.....with set up of traffic lights around small repairs from 4pm until 9am each day causing massive tailbacks and chaos....when a few minutes of dedicated work would have had the job done.....many times jobs seem to be finished....but there has been no one to remove the fencing so on go the lights for another evening/night/early morning of traffic chaos.
Things used to work much better when councils did there own amenities and road repairs....certainly more caring than cheap and nasty for maximum profit racketeers that we have now. |

| On the subject of roadworks does anybody know why and at what cost the pavement at the junction of Lyndhurst Road and Segrave Road has been enlarged and improved? Wouldn't it have been more sensible to wait until the area is rejigged for HHP (or is the fact it's been done now indicate that HHP isn't going to happen any time soon). |

| I was told by a labour Councillor that the Hilton is to take part of the Civic Centre and the move out by the workers is going as plan. |

Bloody Emmets it called CORMAC I know but sometimes I can't be bothered arguing with the spellchecker on the iPad. |
