That post, along with the tweet from the porcine one, sums up everything that's wrong with the club I don't support any more #stupidshortsightedwankers |

| Democracy in action, this happens because to be a councillor or a planner you can't be a proper person, you speak a different language, have different agendas and want to brown nose your way through life to get a few crumbs from the tables of the movers. Not one of them would get elected if they had principles and morals they just fudge their way through life hoping to make someone happy enough to tickle their bellies, waste of space the lot of them. A similar calibre of fan has helped JB to get this passed today, they will never be forgotten. |

Divisions and personal battles continue That's exactly what will happen now. Reprisals against anyone who had reservations about any of the plans. I thought Postey was a cnut before but this has just elevated his cuntishness for me. The guy who made threats to me anonymously and threatened the female members of my family is quite the feckin hard man from behind his keyboard. Typing left handed as he knocks one out. Right I'm off to ask if I can be allowed back on Pasoti |

#stupidshortsightedwankers Exactly Peggy, he obviously tries hard to be disliked, pathetic, lucky that they had the millionaire businessman and the council on their side. Mind you at this rate they can all lord it over the best grandstand in the conference. Shez won't get diddly now the plans are passed. |

| August 15th 2013 the day Plymouth Argyle lost its ambition and settled for being a mediocre, non-ambitious team with wankers content with strutting around home park with stupid titles.
Just remember Newell and co, when Brent does a runner and drops you and believe me he will, you'll be back slumming it with the rest of us mere mortals.
Expect a few to tell you what a bunch of vermin you are.
As for postey, feck off and fly your pretend plane in your bedroom you sad tosser.
RIP PAFC. |

| This is not (genuinely) to suggest that anything underhand went on during the intermission but I would be fascinated to have been a fly on the wall. To then come back & in effect pass it on the nod seemed to denigrate the democratic principle of having such a meeting in public in the first place.
Did anyone catch the clauses that Nicholson enumerated as needing attention? |

Did anyone catch the clauses that Nicholson enumerated as needing attention? Something about £25,000 I believe. |

Or a bingo hall. Or even snooker - that's a sport, innit.
What a tragedy. The end of any ambition for the club, and the triumph of commercialism over health and wellbeing.
Hey ho - what should I say in my email to the Secretary of State? Definately not snooker, that erm sport has been going downhill for years and there have been plenty of snooker halls closed within the last few years. But then again if I'm given a brown envelope then Plymouth definately needs one, just like it needs another cinema |

| Those Councillors never had any intention of voting anything but yes and just wanted to hear their own voice and be able to say they had raised concerns. Nicholson and couple of others should have pressed for deferral after raising so many objections.
Not one mention of the big issues of Lyndhurst access road or "out of town" development guidelines, that all had been made aware of.
Be interesting to see if SoS shares their interpretation of the National Planning Policy Framework "out of town" assessment. PCC only use A1 retail unit figures 1636sqM and do not include A3 food & drink units, cinema and other uses when comparing with NPPF floorspace threshhold of 2500 sqm.
The NPPF clearly states the threshhold is for "When assessing applications for retail, leisure and office development outside of town centres,".
The snooper and IJN both agreed on PG12 of dark side thread that many of the following fall into that category.
cinema 6875sq m in direct competition with one already in City Centre school 1607 sq m franchise café 230 sqm hotel 5222 sqm A1 retail 1636 A3 food & drink 3486 sq m ice arena 6034 sq m health centre (dentists) 1059 sq m |

Once the novelty of the shiny new development wears off the rest of the City will start to feel the backlash that will be the knock on effect from this shambles of of a project, by then i fully expect PAFC to remain relegation fodder or a conference team. In any other City that had a football club of the potential that PAFC once had these plans would never have seen the light of day and Brent would have been chaperoned out of town. The lack of class, the lack of vision, the Hicktown mentality, the insular homophobic attitude and now the club that i once loved has been hi-jacked by Wankers who have today finally destroyed the only part of Plymouth that i once held any affinity for. As if having a house in a City full of rude, ignorant, chavvy louts wasn't bad enough we know have the ignominy of the largest dump in England that will never have a team in the Premier League. The house will be going up for sale when i finish my current job in 16 months time and i am getting out of this hell-hole once and for all. |

| Brent's really got the PR right hasn't he?
Buys a bankrupt football club, sells half it's assets to the Local Authority to fund the purchase, sells himself the rest of the assets at a bargain price, and gives a part of the windfall profit back to the football club, in the form of a bargain basement shed. Tells the gullibles that, even though there'll be a massive hotel next door, the football club will make a fortune out of the "conference facilities" & burger bars in the new shed. Meanwhile, dozens of staff now employed buy him still have to wait years to get all their backpay.
And the majority of the public think he's a hero!!

| I know there are people celebrating, but I don't know any of them. Why they are so excited I just don't get. We are knocking down a Grandstand and building a much smaller one...we are no longer a Swansea, Cardiff or Hull but a league 1 or 2 set up. A sad day. JB must be laughing all the way too the bank. |

| I was going to say that its a sad day in the history of PAFC. It's not though. It's the new dawn of PAFC mk2. Instead of being a lower championship/upper league one club, which it always has been, it's been reborn as a league one/league two team (if luck holds and it even maintains that). Albeit with nice facilities for its level. It's a perfect measure of how disillusioned I am with all things regarding the club, that although the passing of the development was seemingly a foregone conclusion, that I recieved the news with barely a shrug. Even two years ago I would have been angry, now it's just another dissappointment on top of many, the cherry on the top if you will. I can't even bring myself to refer to them as Argyle, its PAFC 2.0. Good luck to those of you that can stick with the new incarnation, you've got more backbone than me.
Steve.
PS. Calling them Superfans is completely wrong. Fans want what is best for the club. Selfish wankers want what is best for themselves. At best the usual JB sycophants should be labelled as antifans. Just something thats bugged me for a while. Anyway, feck em, they're welcome to it. |
