| Live in Plymouth or don't sign for us warn Carl, reading player tweets last season quite a few players were off home after a match. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| The headline could have been "Don't do a Jameson"
Actually I think Carl Fletcher is spot on with this. Don't sign for us then moan about the location as you're spending hours getting to and from London or Birmingham on your days off. |

| Exiled fans take note or feck off.
On a more serious note, could this be aimed at current players too? |

Live in Plymouth or don't sign for us warn Carl Jeez, that's worse than being made to live in the prison up on Dartmoor if you're a screw there isn't it? He DID state "area" though, not in a Swilly pre-fab and there's always Torquay just down the road you know! God's Waiting room ain't that bad unless you come from London and are used to home comforts and sophistication like electricity and speeding cameras every fifty yards. On a serious note, this commuting by footballers has reached epidemic proportions with the collapse of the housing market and some of the distances some of these guys are driving to and from training is ridiculous ~ Fletcher is right! |

| Didn't Luggy insist on the same thing first time around if I remember ? That seemed to work well enough.
I wonder if Purse is moving more local this season ? |

| Players (and managers) may well have bought houses each time they moved on during the boom years but the property landscape has changed now (as have the wages they will receive for playing for PAFC), many young families will be renting throughout their lives and there seems to be plenty of places to rent so it would seem to be an entirely suitable scenario for the itinerant life of a pro footballer and his family.
I see location as less of a problem than it's ever been. |

| Perhaps free accommodation in a local hotel is the answer.
If only someone had a contact in the trade. |

If only someone had a contact in the trade. Tried that before with Mpenza, didn't stop him getting injured every time he went to the minibar though. |

| Most of the players now rent in and around the City and I guess that is what CF will be encouraging/insisting upon. |

| TGWU...you are quite right.A lot of players rent accommodation in that area. However when you have been given a short term contract lets say of 12 months its asking a bit much,as Fletcher seems to be alluding to,to expect players to up sticks and move house and family, including children who may be settled at school for the sake of living in the area 24/7. |

Quite right Oddball, with wife being a headteacher she sees the trouble it causes children and their education and friendships issues, when their parents jobs means they move around a lot. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife!
