Argyle v Portsmouth
Argyle's Dockyard derby against Portsmouth at Home Park to be televised live by Sky
PLYMOUTH Argyle’s Dockyard derby against Portsmouth at Home Park on Saturday, November 15 has been selected for live TV coverage by Sky Sports.
The fixture, which will be the Pilgrims’ annual Armed Services Day match, will now kick-off at 12.05pm.
It is the second Argyle game that Sky have chosen to broadcast next season, following the away trip to Luton Town on Saturday, September 6 (12.15pm).
The televised visit of Portsmouth to Home Park in November will see two proud Royal Navy cities renew their long-standing rivalry.
It is the nearest fixture to Remembrance Sunday, which this year marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One.
Argyle’s home game against Portsmouth last season was also screened by Sky, and ended in a 1-1 draw, after Conor Hourihane gave the Pilgrims the lead.
The Pilgrims will wear the Royal British Legion's poppy emblem on their shirts during 2014/15 as part of a unique arrangement between the club, the Argyle Fans' Trust and the RBL.
