| Having started well, with lots of objections, this is going to be passed subject to a few amendments. |

| Also not much has been made about the impact that this out of town development will have on the City centre, other than Amanda Sutherland? who argued that granting permission to this was against the council's own previous recommendations about out of town developments. |

Looks that way unless it gets deferred, which has been mentioned. |

| Planning officer Barnard saying if you think transport arrangements are wrong you should vote against the proposals on the table today - you can't do large amendments. You then hope that a resubmission is made. |

I took that as a warning that there may not be a new proposal submitted by the developer - a kind of take it or leave it threat |

| Every Councillor who has spoken has raised enough personal concerns to at least be asking for a deferral until more detail is available. Doubt more than a couple will.
Paul Barnard should have been stopped from his scaremongering that Brent won't be back with revised plans if they aren't happy with Seagrave road junction |

Did any of them understand the point that was just passed?

| I think the worst thing that's been said so far has come from Mr Brent who said with a totally straight face that this proposal was all about Plymouth Argyle! |

| Akkeron is now going to stump up the £25,000 required re parking arrangements. That will probably mean cheaper toilet bowls, sinks & mirrors in the grandstand. |

| Bloody hell ..... that was quick in the end!
So fast it hasn't registered.
As far as I can tell - passed with further requirements on the developers. But they were described by numbers of the document so I haven't got a clue what was covered.
On to the next level..... perhaps. |

Maybe if a dance-hall is added to the proposals they could dance under cover. |

| So many points they objected to yet not so much as a whimper as it gets passed, albeit with a few amendments.
"Would Mr Brent be willing to chip in £25,00 towards parking control and then we will approve the application" I bet that took a lot of thinking about, perhaps Nooligan will conduct a few auctions to raise the money? Or Brent could put 10p on the price of a pint of Tribute?
Palms have been sufficiently greased!

Or a bingo hall. Or even snooker - that's a sport, innit. What a tragedy. The end of any ambition for the club, and the triumph of commercialism over health and wellbeing. Hey ho - what should I say in my email to the Secretary of State? |
