Is that what the big news is?

How disappointing.

I was rather hoping Doctors had found a way to surgically remove Brent's c*ck from Newell's mouth.

I would hope Chris Webb does the decent thing and quits - how can he be president after this PR disaster? If your reading this - did you really think the fans would be excited about this?

We're better off getting some temp seats put back in the mayflower and waiting for a serious owner to come along. The current designs are an abomination.

Well I'm glad the erald pointed out the championship is just one below the premier league as I wouldn't have had a clue.

And yeah what excellent news. "Football club owner does as he wants ignoring anyone who points out it might be a tad shit and underwhelming"

If that is seen as a BIG announcement then this club is well and truly fecked.

James has done nothing but stick his middle finger up at fans and the working group. Are some fans really that thick that they are now all for this stand tweeting green army stand because it had an announcement on its own.

i think im done supporting this club i really dont want anypart of a club moulded in james brent's and his court of jesters image.

One thing that will be set in stone and will happen this stand will come back to haunt the club and those fans that supported it.

I'm certain that CW stated loud and clear when he resigned from the trust and moved into the promised land that he would always put the interests fans first. So, can you honestly say that this new stadium, and indeed the whole of the HHP development, is good for Argyle - or indeed the city of which you claim to be so fond of.

How do the people you represent in your 'day' job feel when they see how easily you have sold out in your hobby job?

We've seemingly been completely done over. Is there anywhere that says what is actually in those corners? And where has the money been found to suddenly to utterly and completely fill them in?

ian probably told james that the fans really wanted a stadium like leyton orient's for "character" and because he "doesnt like bowl stadiums" and hey presto plams are altered to make them bigger.

You see if we had an someone who was friends with brent we could have had our case listen too more carefully bent instead all those thousands of fans that wrote in and complained have been fecked off.

this tweet to John Llloyd i saw earlier made me laugh.

@John_Lloyd the fanbase as a whole will make their own minds up on that. You or I are a tiny % of opinion so I don't try to speak for others

Forgive me father for I have sinned. I've looked at The Presidents twitter feed. It's a maze of sycophantic retweets from his REAL mates prostrating themselves before the saintly James Brent. No wonder he is so out of touch he lives in REAL mate cloud cuckoo land.

The big news thing was just a bit of fun that everyone should join in on. Twonk.

All in all if you want to see the musings of forlock tugging Brent loving Presidential adoring (REAL) freaks and weirdoes have a look at his twitter feed.

The fanbase spoke ages ago - it seems they were ignored. Webb is lying.

Absolutely. The Trust must lead opposition to these plans.

Build it to inspire and build it for the future, or don't build anything at all.

If this goes ahead, the sell outs will never be forgiven.

Webb thinks we have the greatest fans in the world and he treats them like straw chewing morons.

It must now be clear to everyone that he and the others in brent's corner, value their silly hats and directors' box seats, more than they do the future of PAFC.

Such a let down of so called 'big news' I would much rather Brent cut down on cost for building it all and pump money into the club and get us back up to the Championship and I have said this to Webb via Twitter this morning. I can't see how this is the key to get us back in the Championship

I guess we better look for a new area of the city for a stadium to be built as home park will unfit for purpose inside 10 years,

worth getting excited for all those idiots on twitter (oddly enough fv1886 members)

Such a nice sunny day to be spoiled by this over-hyped 'big news'. Maybe a new twitter hashtag is appropriate here #grandstandnotgoodenough

Those retweets are so odd I can't help but thinking (conspiritorially) that some private message has gone out asking for the whole thing to be bigged up.

Liar Webb says he doesn't believe there is a silent or even a vocal majority of fans who are against these plans.

Brent was always going to try and get away with the 'reluctant' minimum. That scabs like Webb should actively lie and cheat to support the banker is more than a surprise.

Jones, Webb, Newell etc - Scabs R Us

Is it just me, or are the majority of the posters on PASOTI arguing about how good the stand is people who dont appear very often otherwise? Multi's.

So what has Brent achieved since he took over the club?

Reduce the debt that should be paid by him for the club?

No, he's added to it by lending us more money because he didn't put a realistic management structure in place.

Put in place accountable management procedures to make the owners more accountable to the fans.

Don't make me laugh, Brent makes the M 7 look like Newells Flickr account.

Made this club forget about the bad times by concentrating on the football.

This year has been inexcusably the worst in living memory because Brent is too concerned by his property portfolio and the football just the vehicle used to get there.

United the fanbase?

We probably have the biggest divide in the fanbase we have ever had, promoting the superfans and troublemakers to positions of power, Chris Webb announcing the fanbase being ignored as positive news?

Today just confirms most fans suspicions about Brent, in it for the money. The point that really needs addressing is the INCREASED CAPACITY of the mini stand, he is saying that he is increasing capacity by 1000 by ignoring the fact the Mayflower was ever there, he may be Cnut, but he is a clever one.

Is it me or do the majority of the idiots on twitter not realize that the stand will never will nor can ever be increased? so whatever the capacity is when its built thats it for life. All the tweets defending this stand saying when we reach the premiership we can do what we like ie knock it down etc etc errr we will never reach the premiership with a stadium that small nor even the championship for too long as if we became a stable team in that league home park will not generate the income needed.

So this stand is built purely for league two/one level. Give a year or two and the M8 will realize just what they have done to this club when the fanbase dwindles and they all go support other teams because they have ambition and are existing purely because its the taking part that counts.

Sorry to be all "Helen" on this but looking around the PR machine is in full swing. This is going to happen...a school in the corner for feck sake.

Years ago my life fitted around Argyle but no longer, I've got better things to do with my life.

So, so depressing.
