It ain't a computer, it's a phone. Much cheaper for a phone than to buy a computer and a phone line here, however, if the weather is crap I don't get a good signal/connection. The real bugger is trying to type..... Took me three hours to write this Smile

When you say you were playing music, do you mean you had a guitar or a set of bagpipes in your hands. In which case, no wonder it was bloody hard to type at the same time!

I cooked a wonderful meal involving baby courgettes, mushrooms & mozzarella. Served with a glass or two of wine with good company and finishing al fresco with a lovely view of the river and the setting sun.

A joy to be alive. I just wish I had a bloody kitchen maid to do the dishes before the morning!

Didn't do stay and play today, as I had to be somewhere else, but I'm considering a new approach starting from next week. Usually, the five year old fetches me a tiny chair (I don't even have to ask) and selects the relevant activity table (lego, colouring, bricks and so on). We then sit together and get on with doing our own thing, like last week when she built a chair and I constructed my own version of the international space station. Or the week before, when I coloured in a big picture of a snowflake while she drew a face on a picture of the sun. I've now begun to wonder if the session might be meant to benefit her, rather than me.

In other news, I saw a pair of shoes lying on the pavement this afternoon. Less than an hour later, I saw another pair of abandoned shoes. The second pair were in a box on top of a bin, though.

I've got work to do and I don't want to do it. I've been putting it off all morning.

I even did the dishes that were left over from Wednesday to try to put off the job. I always think it's pointless doing dishes - there'll be more to do later.

(edited for it to make sense)

It's the same with any kind of cleaning. Hence it can always wait when, say, there's a good book to be read.
