| No lego - again. But also no tantrum.
We played with wooden building blocks: you might expect to hear we made a house or something, but instead she made her whole family. I was a medium sized square green one. |

| Tinyman fell off the slide in the garden at the weekend and bumped his head so we've bought these colourful interlocking safety mats which have all the letters of the alphabet on. It currently spells "feck OFF NEWELL, WEBB, HOOPER AND POSTEY YA BUNCH OF cnuts, AND TAKE THAT PRICK JAMESON WITH YOU" Just in case they come sniffing around the neighbourhood like |

| Bought a second-hand chest of drawers. Potted on an iris. Watered & fed my tomatoes, strawberries & blackcurrants. My bay needs feeding but I'll leave it until tomorrow. Sat in the sun with a sudoku (failed!) and a sausage & brown sauce sandwich. I might read a book in the shade before coming in to have a nap before my night out.
It's hard being retired.
Anyone able to suggest a fragrant, mini rose suitable for a pot on a patio in full sun? |

| Didn't have enough milk for breakfast this morning.
Went down Lidls and got some, though. Along with some eggs and beetroot. |

| Still had four bananas, so that's two days worth.
If they'd had any very, very green ones, I'd have got some. But they didn't, so I didn't. Innit. |

| I just ate a banana and the end squashed when I broke the skin to peel it, probably the wrong sort? |

| Or the wrong opening technique?
It's a skilled job, you know. |

| First method. (This is the preferred method). Take stalk. Snap it back sharply. Sometimes the direction of the snap has to be tried more than once in the case of more stubborn bananas. Eventually, this should release the skin from the fruit and also provide a useful grip. Pull the skin gently down half the length of the banana (though of course the decision needs to be made in the light of the size of the banana & the ripeness of said fruit - there is no hard & fast rule about this). Then, moving around the banana, pull flaps of skin down to roughly the same point as the previous pull. Eat and enjoy down to the point at which the flesh is available. At this point the skin should be peeled bit by bit until the last piece of edible flesh cis finished.
Second method. This is advised if the stalk stubbornly refuses to snap. Invert the banana and squeeze the other end between two fingers. This squashes the end a little but as it contains the vestigial seeds that you would normally not eat anyway, it doesn't really matter. The skin will normally spilt at this point and the above method can be adopted but from the other end.
Method of last resort. Take a knife to it. Incidentally, well brought up people do not in any circumstances eat a banana by simply putting it into their mouth and biting. That is common and could lead to unacceptably lascivious behaviour. Ladies & gentlemen use a fruit knife & slice pieces decorously until finished. The skins are left for the servants to clear away and smoke.
Interesting fact. Did you know that bananas are radioactive? |

Nor me. Has to be a tinge of greenness to the skin or I'm not touching it. My lad won't eat them if they break when he's holding them so he usually only gets a bite or two as he's wandering round with his nana in his hands. As soon as it breaks he throws it in anger. He also won't eat broken biscuits or breadsticks. They have to be whole when you give them to him or he goes beserk (or bananas) and throws himself around the floor like he's possessed by the devil |

| i like brown bananas, much sweeter and less dry than green ones. my method of opening is to snap the top right off and squeeze the bottom. pop. out it slides. i can fit a whole one in my mouth. dont think about that to deeply. |
