IJN has been disciplined recently and is not imune to action. He is not a member of the Mod team, he is not a co-owner and does not have access to the mod room. Of course he has friends who are mods but that doesn't affect the decision making and action. Thanks for answering my question. The only thing is does he still have influence over his friends that are mods and when you say he was disciplined in what way?and as rickler says Since Newell has broken practically every rule pasoti has, why hasn't Newell been banned? There are many others who have been banned for far less!eg hairy |

| I see that pasoti is still allowing newell to post his bitter bile. Nice people, nice site! - Quote :

If the police haven't been, then to me, it's a sign that it's a load of rubbish.
When I have been harassed by someone off that site, I rang the police and they dealt with immediately.
I have heard that the allegations are now that I have something to do with Greenman. I repeat what I have said since day one, I have never nor would ever post on that site, even if I could have a shower afterwards.
I am though happy for any Mod from Pasoti to give my IP address to any Mod on ATD. |

| I do think in the spirit of Mark's presence on here a softly softly, catchy Monkey approach might be best. It seems that most are grateful he's here but if we want to encourage this cross forum debate giving the guy both barrels isn't doing anyone any favours.
The fact that a PASOTI mod is on here openly discussing the approach to the forum is a testament to the work done on here and Mark's independent thinking. It would have been unthinkable a mere two weeks ago. |

If Pasoti is to be a uniting presence it has to be open about the mod selection/removal process and it has to welcome everyone............ a fresh start ?
Sorry - didn't answer your other questions as I'd only stopped briefly on the way home for fish and chips and was waiting in the queue. As I think I posted on PASOTI we are stable as a mod team but we have one or two vacancies from what we had 18 months ago. We have agreed that the next selection process will be different than how it's happened in the past. Apart from comments on here we win lots of praise from neutrals and our own fanbase for how we mod and it needs to evolution rather than revolution. As to whether IJN has an influence - of course he has, he was a mod for a long time, his decision making, whether you like it or not had an impact that will last for a long time. The mod team (as I said above) is a good mix and therefore even if he wanted to IJN would struggle to impose his will on the site. As I've said many times we have banned hardly anyone since the new mod code of conduct (which does exist!!) was introduced - I did the first draft! There are rules regarding voting and banning and both Hairy and IJN have received similar warnings recently. The fact that some don't shout their bannings and warnings from the roof tops doesn't mean that they don't have them. Since April last year we have been much more relaxed about negative posts - that rankles with some mods who were used to the old style, but you may have noticed that posts worshipping at the feet of the few get similar short shrift from other mods. Rickler says many things - most of it is crap. We have similar idiots of PASOTI - you seem to have noticed. GOB - so he can't say on PASOTI about people on here what you say here about him?? I'm not defending him but you can't have it both ways. He doesn't like quite a few people on here - quite a few people on here don't like him. Give it and take it or don't give it in the first place. |

That's all very well and I'm all in favour of bridge building but they don't mean a word of it, hence why newell remains with freedoms that would have any other user banned or, newell remains resolute to undermine the efforts of Mark P. |

Or are you suggesting that it's OK as long as it isn't aimed at a pasoti user? And what happened to the "mustn't talk about those that cannot respond" rule? That's the difference you see Mark but you guys don't seem to get it. Many of us cannot respong on pasoti, where as anyone can respond on ATD. |

| GOB - there's hardly any point in having any dialogue with you until you actually try and come at things with an open mind - you and IJN are very similar but from opposing views. |

| Gob - would you like a Pasoti account? Maybe Mark could approach the other Mods to see if this is possible - maybe an amnesty for all ATD users as long as the usernames remain the same on both sites for transparency...?
That way there is open access for both forums as long as you remain within the rules of each forum.
I would advocate that any bannings/suspensions are made public. You will understand Mark that many on here have had their previous accounts banned on PASOTI behind their backs and have been unable to fight their corner.

I think that's a much wider issue and not to be rushed into but in a nutshell yes, I think there should be a full amnesty even if it is only to clear the slurred names of a great many characters. I would not be a regular contributor of pasoti as I would be concerned that one or two ex mods would soon be reinstated to once again divide and split the fan base. Neither can we be sure that the likes of Postey and Ponty would remain impartial, remember, it was Ponty that assisted in the closing of the previous AT site. I strongly believe that it is crucial for a more united fan base, but not any cost. A united fan base would be a strong asset to the AFT and that as we have seen, is against the wishes of one or two powerful pasoti mods and ex mods. |

| We are trying to change but I believe that some users of this site don't want change - it actually suits them that we are constantly at loggerheads. One or two have asked to come back to PASOTI after bans and we have agreed. The site is not ruled by IJN and hasn't been for some time.
Pokesdown - I can go back with that idea about ATD users but it needs to be a gentle appraoch I can think of 1 or 2 Mods who would find that totally unpalatable right now but maybe later. I can't think who has been banned "behind their backs" but if you pm me here I promise I'll do some investigations. There are a few on here who say they have been banned but never have or maybe only had a night or week off and took it as a permanent ban. A number of cases are already under review. |

That's a big step in the right direction Mark, a big step. I fully understand that it will take a lot of pride swallowing and give and take from users on both sides but eventually it would be great if it can be achieved. |

Although I did email the mods pretty damn quick to apologise for it. |

Although I did email the mods pretty damn quick to apologise for it. It's way to early for that me old mate but as far as I am concerned it would be "all for one" and all that. But if you done it again you would need a kicking! PS THAT@S A JOKE BTW!! |

Although I did email the mods pretty damn quick to apologise for it. Surely Yea Man that is what an amnesty means. All previous forgotten and we go on future behaviour. In essence it is what all good long standing relationships are built upon. Some may think it a bridge too far, some may not take up the offer. Fair play, each to their own. It would, however take a great deal of the vitriol away from the argument and indeed if we belive that we have a democratic modacracy (?) then freedom of expression wins. |

I totally agree with what you say but will some that have caused so much trouble in the past be honest and stick to the rules. eg multi accounts or silly games. |

Really... I dare you to print something I have written that is crap. And anytime you want to go one on one, whether it be on this website or at the fanfest, I'm up for it, and then we can see who the idiot is! Are you still holding those simulated mod banning exercises with the 'think tank' that is the pasoti modroom? Talk about crap, that pathetic excuse of yours as to why you don't remember voting to keep me banned really did take the biscuit. So why hasn't IJN been banned - you still haven't answered.. Mind you... You still can't tell me why I was banned either. And all this crap about a good mod team. It will never be any different whilst Posty, Ponty, Angry S, and Milbridge Mike (and others) are still there. Because they are still pulling the same shit that they were pulling years ago, and will still be doing it in the future - they just can't help themselves. You need a clean sweep but you're all so power hungary you can't do it. |
