I'm not so sure about Ponty. I don't think I had ever mentioned him back when the Greenman account started. Mind you I don't know that I had a go at Postey specifically then, but I am sure I took the piss out of Pasoti mods in general.

This is the big problem with all of this. It is either Newell and Webb plus others that did it, or it is somebody doing it on their instructions because I had given them some well deserved stick by then. Does anybody know when the Deepthroat post shitstorm happened and when ADT was set-up?

I have not made much comment on this thread but I was one of the mods that voted to ban C W. I did this on the evidence that was shown to me that night. I have seen the information on the mod boards about him and the spooner account and the confession on pasoti about DT. He was banned for using a multi. As far as I am concerned it was the right decision.

I think this thread and one or two others on ATD have probably answered your questions Mark and Ade.

It was me who asked Tim Chown to investigate the issue with the ip addresses. To his credit, he did not continue the behind-the-scenes intrigue. He posted his findings publicly. In my view that was entirely the correct thing to do and is a good indicator that a Trust representative will not be involved in any of the games that are played. Considering the attacks (some personal) the Trust have had to put up with, that is impressive. Thank you.

There has been no attempt to hide the possible mistake made by ATD. The mods on here have not taken Tim's post down. There has been no attempt to shoot the messenger. Any discussion about it has been out in the open for full public examination. There have been no made-up posters suddenly appearing in order to provide support. My view is that everyone of us makes mistakes: the important thing is to attempt to put them right and acknowledging those mistakes is an essential step. The fact that certain people on pasoti are attempting to make capital out of this - though absolutely understandable (can you imagine the glee on ATD if pasoti were to have made a similar error?!) - is an indication of hypocrisy. Remember these are the same people who have carried out all sorts of games in an underhand way. The day that pasoti chooses to do their business in the open without subterfuge is the day that I will respect what they do. The day that the individuals who have been involved in all the crap actually come out and admit their roles in it all without having to be dragged out screaming and kicking will be the day that I respect them. These are the people, remember, whose support for Mr Brent has been clear from the beginning and isn't one of the cornerstones of his ownership avowedly to operate with "transparency & integrity"? Do they not know what that means?

Let's be clear, to the best of my knowledge, at no point has it been stated that Chris Webb actually was Green Man. We have gone out of our way to make that clear. He was banned for using a multi account and subsequently for refusing to co-operate by not supplying his ip address to the mods on here not for being Green Man. IP addresses are not a fine enough tool to enable us to identify positively who does the typing. In my opinion, what is absolutely certain is that Green Man's identity is known by a number of people. To his credit postey has acknowledged his role. He has asked that others who know should step forward. At the moment this 'good man' is being left to stand out on his own. That's what friends are for!!!!?????

Who had such a grievance with ATD in August 2011 that they had to set up an anonymous account? I don't recall any personal abuse being thrown towards Postey at this time - and if there was surely it was understandable after he jumped ship. ATD was very new at the time and the only a few people were involved in the unpleasantness. I don't believe that there is a "low profile" poster who was already pissed off with ATD and set up a sleeper account.

3. Jock confronted Newell and Webb at the Tiverton friendly on 31st July 2012. According to Jock they discussed the Greenman issue and Chris said he was 99% sure it was Sean Rapson. We all know that Postey, Newell and Webb are very close. I find it inconceivable that Postey had not told Webb and Newell that he was behind Greenman. Nearly 3 months had passed since Sean's name was first mentioned by Webb. Surely at some stage the Greenman issue had been discussed as this was linked to the PI allegations that were also happening at the same time.

4. Webb was banned from ATD on 31st October 2012 for sharing an IP address with Greenman. A few weeks later during a telephone conversation with Newell he opined that Greenman might be Ponty posting when he was pissed. Newell offered me the opportunity of passing Greenman's IP address to Postey so that he could do some investigation into it. Again, I find it inconceivable to believe that Newell did not know Postey was involved in Greenman. Postey could have cleared Webb's name in November. Surely he would have at least told Newell that Webb wasn't involved. Maybe he didn't and that's why Newell thought it might be a drunken Ponty posting.

5. The Greenman issue has only resurfaced after Webb finally admitted to using the Deep Throat account. He claims he wasn't aware of the thread but after his "apology" he immediately attacked ATD over the Greenman saga. It still took Postey a few days before he admitted his part in it. The other Greenmen have still not been named. Why did it take Postey over 3 months to clear Webb's name? It seems rather convenient he finally admitted his guilt after Webb had admitted his part in Deep Throat. Is Postey just trying to take the heat off Webb?

That's been my gut feeling since Posty's confession. Of course, the other 'insignificant' Greenmen will either not come forward, or will be rewarded for taking one for the big fish.
Question one to Posty at the Polygraph feat.................. Were any of the following[ INSERT USUAL SUSPECTS] involved in the Greenman postings on ATD ? Yes or No ?
