| What was yours?
I'm looking at a Hyundai atm.
Even in it's sales description it admits to having a 'spot of rust'.
MOT and taxed for 10 months tho = good on the wallet of El Cunch.
Gonna name it 'the honeywagon'. |

| My first was a C Reg Mk 2 Astra. The cassette player did not work and the sunroof leaked (so the car smelt of mould). It cost £800 and I had it for 4 years.
My second was a L Reg Corsa which was quite decent for the time. |

| Mine was Ford Anglia, 1958. Cost 35 quid and I loved it but having a fumble in the backseat was a nightmare!

| Our first was a VW Beetle. But not just any Beetle! It had a 1600 engine that was tuned by a good friend who was a Beetle mechanic and totally in love with them. It was shit hot! We then decided that we wanted something a bit newer and tidier looking. So we got a much 'nicer' Beetle. Only then did we realise what we had lost .... |

| Ist car was a Mk 3 Cortina which was a bit ropey, bodywork wise but never let me down. 2nd was a Chrysler 180 which was a granada consul type car which had twin webber carbs as standard and for a 'sofa' type car was pretty quick. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Lulz at the abundance of aged people on this thread, going by the vehicles in question.
Adding up the price of petrol, insurance, tax and vehicle...I think I might have to get a bike. Would that make me a massive geezer or a cheapskate? I can't even decide. |

| Started off with a mk1 escort, lent it to my sister who crashed it but luckily it was repairable but the worst car I owned was a triumph tr7 it had the pop up headlights but only one of them would go up and down. |

| When I read the title I didn't see the cars and thought it was a shit first or second competition to tie in with your rugby thread? Mine took 24 seconds. |

| First car was a rather excellent BMW 318i. After that it was pretty much Company cars all the way, of varying degrees of quality. |

| First motor was a Mk2 1600 sport Escort. I became obliged to buy it for £400 from a mate, after I hit a wall test driving it out by Yelverton Rock. |

| Vauxhall chevvette, it was a rebadged german car so it was really ok. Changing the headlamp bulbs was a bit of a pain though! |

| My first car was a brand new cherry red Peugeot 205 diesel. Probably still the best car I've ever had. |
