Ahh bollocks, forgot, in yesterdays paper, 250cc Simson 1959 motorbike for sale. DDR 250 shaftdrive, I ask you! Looks lovely, but no price. Probably more a lot more euros than its brake horse power.

Bit miffed about the end of The Killing. I don't think she'd have done that.

I'll get over it.

Today has not been in the slightest mundane. But I'll report on it anyway.

In no particular order, I have:

  • Driven precisely 300.1 miles
  • Accidentally bought a pair of jeans (I only went in for bananas)
  • Had my first mince pie of Yuletide 2012
  • Deliberately bought some secondhand books
  • Seen the white horse at Westbury
  • Got stuck in traffic in Midsomer Norton (I kept all my doors locked, as I think that's where all the murders are)

I also met a lovely - and very, very bouncy - little boy and had a little cuddle with him. His mum and dad are nice, too.

Had a knee op yesterday.
Turns out I'd torn my lateral meniscus (bucket handle ligament) which had also twisted round and was facing the wrong way. So that's been removed. I've got arthritis and damage to my anterior cruciate ligament. Press release later that I'll be signed by Fletcher in the January window.

You can obviously defend at corners then.

Bought (some more) various items for various small people today. Lots of people were shouting at each other in town. The Early Learning Centre's got loads of stuff reduced.

In other news, I've developed a new law. This one concerns those odd occasions when you find out, some time after switching out the light and starting to drift off, all snug under your flannelette duvet cover, that there's a tiny gap where the curtains haven't quite met. And that the streetlight some way up the road has spotted this fact and is shining its heart out right at said gap and therefore into your eyes.

I can't call it Peggy's law - that's the one about putting the oven on to heat up and making the kitchen smell all burny.

I haven't got 10,000 men. Nor have I ever had anywhere near that number of women.

I hope it's an 0800 number, or your phone bill will probably trump your boiler service bill. Crying or Very sad

Car didn't need any work on its service and passed its MOT first time. They washed and hoovered it for me, too.

After paying out for all that (except the wash and hoover, which was complementary), I'm going to be well pissed off if it is the end of the world tomorrow.
