Oh yeah. If the world ends tomorrow do you think Newell will come clean about all his nefarious activities and Webb will admit posting as Greenman, The Spooner, Windsor Boy and any others that we may care to mention?

Had a deeply unpleasant time helping my old mum (who's been ill for a couple of weeks but is feeling a bit better now) get some shopping in this morning (see the Friday poetry thread). Had to have a nap soon after I got in.

Downloaded Firefox today, too.

Went to a church service at teatime. The Sunday School kids did the nativity bit, dressed up as virgins and 3 wild men and a field full of sheep. Interesting slant on the usual tea towelled shepherds watching their flock by night.

When it finished and I'd raided the collection box and got £4.50 in change for the fiver I put in. So I was outside quite nimbly as I didn't want the vicar bloke asking embarrassing questions about which church did I usually use and why has my campervan got a shitload of lead from the church roof.

So I'm outside waiting all smiles and polite with the congregation streaming out, when three pissed up lads were cutting through the graveyard throwing bottles at each other, one pissing against the church wall in full sight of everyone who had just left the church.

They were shouting insults across to each other, over the congregations heads like you pissed over your shoes you dirty cnut. I did but I'm gonna smack your feckin teeth done your throat you feckin cocksucker.

So I said oi you lot, show some respect to people in earshot, which he nodded and put his finger to his lips and shouted yeah stop all the swearing ya cnut.

And then they walked all over the graves so they could go over the wall towards the next pub.

Lovely people around on Christmas Eve. cnuts

They apologised and will change the HD box into a tivo box for free, I will still receive my free 7 days UK phone calls and they will add on free international and 150 mins mobile calls each month and it will cost me less then the old bill. good?

Scrambled egg with smoked salmon followed by lemon cheesecake (half price in Tesco - not home-made). Then too much to drink ...... again - red wine, sparkling wine, white wine & Bunnahabhain.

Ended up having pasta instead.

Today I have mostly been taking my old mum to do her shopping again. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as last week, except there were thousands of children running around: their parents must have told them it was an adventure playground. Got the official DVD box set of the Olympics: it was only £10 (or nothing, since I paid for it with nectar points innit). My mum bought me egg and chips for lunch, so I probably won't need any tea tonight.

I can also - this is an exclusive - report that Sainsburys's have got loads of small electrical items for half price. Kettles, toasters, irons, blenders, that sort of thing.

Nice bit of Rump for tea. Sauteed potatoes, cherry toms and red onion.

Mrs Czar has now invited 'people' around. Mad

If they go within 5 yds of the Henry Westons, there'll be hell to pay.

Tom Daleys new primetime reality show splash! On Saturday night's getting celebrities to learn to dive like him, but not look as dashing in their Speedos.

And if you haven't seen the ad I'm being serious. I wonder if webby can get him to mention the postbox?

I've got a new mug for my morning coffee. (I've also got a new, matching, bowl for my cereal, but that's not really relevant here.) The new mug's got a slightly smaller capacity than my other ones, meaning that one cafetiere of max strength fairtrade coffee now supplies me with four cups, rather than three.

It's a mixed blessing, to be honest.
