Is it a Rover by any chance ? No its a Renualt 14, however there are a worrying amount of Rover 214 /216 headgasket specials here (and a few with the Honda engines). Recently, I have seen mk 1 Corollas, Escorts (+Mexico), all in good nick. On the down side, Opel Chevette and even worse a Talbot Solara. Naturally, the rich have Jags or Astons. |

Any Chrysler 180 or 2ltr's around? Find one in good nick and it could be worth something. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | Hello Mouldy, are they the ones that look like a giant Morris Marina? If so not spotted them yet, but there was a Yank airbase on Madiera maybe there? Where we live we are surrounded by 2 stroke Zundapp engined stuff. The influx of Japan and other nation linked vehicles don't appear much. I have mentioned (in passing various things :- FS1E etc) but bless 'em, they know the value of stuff. I don't think it matters how much the Krauts compress the financial stuff here, stuff is still expensive. An example, our Renault 14 is a 500 euro car. My dream of old bikes n old cars was kicked into touch as soon as I got here. |

| They were very popular with Spanish taxi drivers. Very comfortable inside. Spent many late nights in mine. Oh. As of about ten minutes ago, it turns out I haven't done it for the last time ever after all. Or at least not all of it. Hey ho - it seems I'm quite good at it, and beggars can't be choosers. Not long woken up from a three hour short nap. Probably won't sleep tonight now. This is Eeyore signing off. |

No. (You can't do something for the last time - or not, as it turns out - if you hardly ever do it in the first place.) |

| Monday, I had a meeting in both our professional capacities with the Doctor off of pasoti. Today, I had another meeting of a professional nature with somebody who recognised me out of the Argo programme. Last time that happened was in the Council Tax benefit office.
Meanwhile, I will have to buy bananas and spinach tomorrow. Don't think I'll ever have to get milk again, though - there's loads in the fridge. |

| Today will help to walk my two grand children (4 & 5) and another 430 children from school to church for a carol service. For a little treat after will take the two little ones to the City Centre. |

Good luck. After looking outside I think I may go and build an Ark. Edit: I've spent most of the morning stripping the old carpet from the hall/stairs/landing. After this I've wanted to smash my new laptop against thewall, 'cos I couldn't figure out why I couldn't post smileys on it (sorted now). Whilst this was going on I've been waiting hand and foot on two poorly kids who have taken up residence on the sofas. Now I've had a call from the carpet place to say that the fitter won't be here this afternoon (as booked, grrr ) because he's been taken ill. What the fook is the matter with people? Virtually everyone I've spoken to in the last 24hrs is either ill, has just been ill, or are anticipating being ill in the very near future! Man Up FFS. I've now got a hall stairs and landing that has loads of pointy sharp bits sticking up everywhere. |

| Oddly enough, my old mum's been a bit poorly this week, but she's a lot brighter today. As a result, I've spent the day choosing library books for her (very stressful, that), sitting in traffic, driving through small lakes, and getting her shopping and medicine. Which, of course, also allowed me to get some bananas and spinach, along with some more chocolate money (to replace said chocolate money bought last week, which seems to have disappeared).
Every cloud, eh? |

It an C & E school, it was pouring down when we arrived at the school the head-master said he prayed the rain would stop and would you believed it we walked out of the school and the rain as stopped and to top that Micky Evans and wife attended the service. The City part was a wash out only one ride open, did not rain until we left town for home. |

The City part was a wash out only one ride open, did not rain until we left town for home. The Lord works in mysterious ways. (So does Carl Fletcher). |

| The highlight of my weekend (so far - there's still a few hours to go, but I doubt it's going to get any better) has been getting the lid off of one of those Fray Bentos tinned steak pies.
And - wait for it, for this is possibly as far from mundane as it gets - I achieved said feat with an unfamiliar tin-opener.
In other news, two police cars (with blues and twos) have just gone up the side turning. Very mundane. |

| Is 'blues n twos' nee naws? In other news, the weather is rubbish here, yet much more important and no doubt mundane (well how I read it), my hospital appointment has been put back nearly 1 month - hurrah! |
