| Pete's still reading yours. He'll post his thoughts as soon as he's finished - probably somewhere around Sunday lunchtime |

What about mine Pete? Bleddy favouritism.
Will comment when I have had time to digest it. Try to come back before the meeting. |

- Well done for arranging this Andy. It is about time the good guys were given some oxygen !
As I can't be there in person I'd love to be able to ask a question of Mr Brent through your good self.
In addition, it has occurred to me that this idea of the face to face meeting, rather than the online Q&A, was suggested by Rickler [see below] and it would be appropriate if Nigel is awarded the honour of asking the first question, all the way from LA
Hey, thanks for remembering that Tringy and for your suggestion. TBH, I was more than thrilled when Andy agreed to it! I really do consider it a great honour. I am confident I have a good question to get us started. I think it reflects what ATD is about. I can assure everyone it has nothing to do with Napoleon and the farm! Remember Exiles and those not able to make the evening... Obviously everyone is free to ask their questions how they please! But part of the charm of all this is, you do not need to post your questions here. You can PM them to Andy so Mr. Brent is not aware of what they are! He will need to be on his toes! "Who plays left back, James?" I just want to say... When I suggested this idea, I never really thought it had a snowball in hells chance of happening. So I think that it is a real credit to all those involved that did make it happen. I really don't know who that is, but it certainly involves Andy, who as admin took the idea, ran with it, and made the most of an opportunity, I imagine some staff at Home Park? Whoever.. Really well done to all concerned!!! And it obviously involves James Brent. I think the greatest credit for the evening belongs to him. He could have just fobbed us off, made his excuses, and just done what he did for pasoti - the same old boring written Q & A, with plenty of time to research the answers if need be, and no ability to ask a follow up question, which is all important! But he didn't. He agreed to meet us on our terms. We got what we asked for... He certainly deserves all the credit in the world for that! |

I agree Ricks, it's a bloody good effort by Andy and the team and full credit to James Brent for this considering 'all' the shenanigans that's been going on and the unfounded and untrue gossip that's been spread by one or two individuals. Well done all! |

| Someone could pose this scenario for JB, if they like... Exactly how much cash is being saved by keeping the Zoo Corner 'out of bounds'? This was imposed by Ridsdale when our financial situation was literally critical - fair enough. But have't we progressed slightly, from that? Someone could then explain to him how, historically, Home Park was always a venue most teams feared coming to, because of the vociferous, raucous, passionate, and downright intimidating atmosphere generated all around the ground. That fear factor for away teams has completely dissipated, with the closure of the Mayflower, and in turn, the most atmospheric area - blocks 15-18. It's my view that the 'Home Advantage' factor at Home Park, is now all but non-existent. Take away home advantage? Well, inevitably this will equal fewer points. Fewer points equals zero progress up the Leagues. Zero progress up the leagues equals (and here's the important bit) a stagnation in attendances, and crucially in turn, gate revenue. I'm totally convinced that, in the grand scheme of things, closing those areas will prove a false economy. On top of that I'd say there are a fair few hundred that are still mightily pissed off that 'our' area has been closed. Plus of course you've got the dozens (and I know many of them) who didn't renew their ST's purely based on the closing of 15-18. A few spotty oiks in the back half dozen rows of 3/4 and a big flag doesn't equate to an atmosphere to strike fear into the opposition. I doubt he'll listen, mind. |

| Right, because I'm sitting here pissed off generally ......
If anyone really thinks that the pasoti team really have any significant influence over Mr Brent's decision-making you are imbuing those people with more strength of character and intelligence than you usually want to give them. At the same time you are giving Brent far less business savvy and cunning than you usually give him also.
If anyone is really going to focus questions with Brent on those in power on that insignificant and sordid web-site that is pasoti then the opportunity to discuss real issues with the present club owner will be a wasted opportunity. They're annoying little toe-rags! Deal with it! get over it!
Off to drink with some good friends. Maybe have too much ...... but at least it will be away from the disgusting politicking that has been going on.
And, to repeat, Andy's efforts in getting this set up have been great. Let's not waste it.

| How long do we have to wait before fans are allowed into the Mayflower enclosure again. It used to be really intimidating for the opposition manager and players with the home fans right behind their dugout but now it seems pretty vacant.I can't make it but if someone could ask the question....... |

| Agree with this in theory, but surely any money spent on making it safe by erecting barriers or seats would be wasted once the new stand is built All depends on the timescale of planned development and anticipation of crowd size I would think. |

| My question for James Brent.
When the pitch was being replaced there was a story around that some of the top soil was going to be used for a memorial garden out of respect for supporters that had had their ashes scattered over the playing area as part of their last wishes. Is there any scope in plans to develop the ground for this to be included? If not, could this be considered? _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | I think it was answered in the pasoti Q & A?
And I think the answer was yes?
Anyone have a link to that Q & A? We don't really want to waste our time or make ourselves look ignorant by asking the same questions. |

They could probably merge you question with mine odders. We're singing from the same sort of hymnsheet, I think. I think this goes with mine, too. What links the three is the point that there's more than one way to enjoy a football match, that until recently supporters were able to choose where to sit in order to enjoy the match in their own way, that there's a lot of frustration about the changes which have been imposed, and that that frustration has already affected season ticket sales and looks likely to continue to do so. |
