Delving into the EU funded BBC's story regarding IKEA's UK business operation you will notice they do in-part blame the pandemic - which our rejoiners are somehow loathed to do. Naturally driver shortage and Brexit get a mention. Now turn to my link where it says "10% of its stock, or 1,000 product lines" have supposedly been affected by Brexit which, if you continue reading, doesn't explain why IKEA's Dutch operation is suffering the "exact same product shortages". Where's the Brexit fault with that? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]This could be good news for the ATD's left and disgruntled clique. On becoming the new BBC director general, Tim Davie said this.... Get on with it you vile dwarf Jabs. Saving about £12bn a year. Loads of big firms like Nissan investing in new plant. Largest amount of jobs available in years. Wages gone up for the common man by as much as 20% for the power paid. Not having the wages set by what it costs to live in Poland. My BIL getting a job with border force so he can moan about not being able to do his job either. Huge opportunities for UK businesses to fill the gap from the imports. (My business is up 20% + this year which is due to Covid but it's all the rage to blame Covid losses on Brexit so have some back you feckin clown). Listening to you cnuts moaning on a daily basis. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Even before EU money ended up in Truro's pockets it's important to remember that Britain was a net cash contributer who, like Germany, paid in vast sums of money that easily eclipsed that of other nations - they certainly had their pound of flesh from us and the Teutons. The UK was futher hamstrung by the 'Common Agricultural Policy' as France (predictably) pocketed the most with a 20% rebate followed by Germany and Spain 13% each, Italy 11%, UK 9%. Who can remember the uproar When Brussels forced British farmers to erect permanent billboards thanking EU for cash grants... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Brexit has a lot to answer for doesn't it?
Sri Lanka has experienced long queues to buy essential items amid tight lockdown measures to control the spread of Covid-19. Shelves at government-run supermarkets have been running low - some even empty - with very little stock remaining of imported goods like milk powder, cereal and rice. The government denies there are shortages and blames the media for stoking fears. It follows the government declaring a state of emergency and Sri Lanka's Central Bank chief stepping down amid a foreign exchange crisis. What has the government done? On 30 August, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa announced strict controls on the suppIly of essential goods. The government said this was needed to prevent traders hoarding food items and control inflation. Sri Lanka is grappling with a depreciating currency, inflation and a crippling foreign debt burden. The economic slowdown is of particular concern as until recently, Sri Lanka had one of the strongest economies in South Asia. In 2019, it was upgraded to an upper middle-income country by the World Bank. But at the same time, the country's debt burden has also been growing - from 39% of Gross National Income (GNI) in 2010 to 69% in 2019, according to the World Bank.
Bojo to be dragged away in chains facing corporate manslaughter charges? The remainers need to break the bubble they have lived in for the last five years and realise what an absolute shit show the new global economy is. More wealth created foreshore, more billionaires every day yet we have worldwide supply chain issues and more poor people than we have ever had. Wakey fookin Wakey. |

- Until that point, Johnson can largely deflect the blame for these problems onto the pandemic. Ford notes this goes down well with his base of "Leave" voters, many of whom are sick of being told that Brexit was a disaster, and often willing to believe other explanations.
Perhaps one day Johnson will deem it politically expedient to introduce greater mitigation against the downsides of Brexit. Yet even the timing of that is problematic: Admitting you need damage control means there is damage to control |

What a trooper. With old Barners threatening to stop immigration from outside the EU our remainers/rejoiners better get their skates on pronto if they want to leave little England for France. I regret binning my old AA Route Planner as it might have been of some use to one of them. |

Yeah noticed that yesterday Clodagh. What an utter catastrophe this is. EU diplomat stated it had never been more easy to transport anything into the UK ! Starmer was asked last night if he would stick by his promise of a 2nd referendum if Labour won the next election. He kinda fudged the answer. The answer has to be yes and there will be no close call next time at the ballot box Biggest act of self harm orchestrated by the Tory filth in world political history.....endorsed by the likes of Ears and his rabid cabal. To think I fell for this bullshit makes it 10 times worse |

| Mind boggling if anyone has been listening to BBC Radio 2 this morning They were talking to a Fish Merchant in the new facility in Manchester
Prior to Brexit they were fluctuating slightly around about £3,000 for a standard container of mixed fish
Today that same container costs......£14,000
Wonder how our fisherman Ears would like to spin that one out ?? |

Wonder how our fisherman Ears would like to spin that one out ?? Piece of piss. The rise in costs of containers is a worldwide crisis, fook all to do with Brexit, as my story about Sri Lanka makes the point admirably. Just Google world wide shipping costs and you would see why you moron. |
